I’d buy this in a shot if I could justify cost of ownership. To my eye a beautiful form follows function design with great liveablity. Love the way it was outfitted as well. P.O. Knew what he was doing.

Agreed. I think there’s an extra “1” in front of the price.
Nice arrangement, but you are right,
For example she is :
25% less volume than our
In steel
1 engine with 5200 hours more than our
32 year older than our
And....2,37 more expansive than our !?
Some time price are à mystère.
For examle (again)
2 similar Cammenga 18m
One totally rebuilt from bare hull...priced around 350000€ (Migrant name)
And another priced arounr 1150000...??
Total mystère for me :)

Very dated, high time, hull a little banged up. And did I mention very dated - even for 22 years old.

Either somebody is emotionally attached, thus the high price. Or a broker gave an unreasonably high value estimate just to get the listing.

Agreed on dated and overpriced, however this is fsbo so can’t blame the broker, but you’re right about brokers pricing too high just to get the listing.

Not sure if these qualify as 'interesting vessels' -- they sure are to me and while they are up there in age, I believe Hatteras made/makes sturdy vessels(?). At least i know they've been in the game for a long time....

42' Single screw Detroit diesel 115hp, 5000hrs ( low HP for a vessel this size?)
And she has an island bed (just this weekend finally switched out a king bed squeezed in against the walls on two sides in at a quite small coastal property for a queen -- don't think the wife will go for a birth without access on three sides, real PITA to get in and out and make the bed):

1716823735123.png

twin screw detroit diesel -- 8000hrs (nearing end of life w/out major rebuild? the engines and engine room look awfully clean as if well maintained?)
no island bed but two decent sized births in what appears to be the aft cabin

Is a 50' too much boat for a couple with prior experience on 28' and under?

While she doesn't interest me, and may be overpriced, for someone who wants to do some very serious cruising, I don't think you're going to find a 70'+ boat in that shape for atleast twice the price. This assumes those are recent pictures. The engine hours for that engine are negligible as it's likely wet sleeved with a 10K or 20K hour overhaul expectation.

As far as dated, $100K to $250K (10 to 25% of the purchase price) easily fixes that. Remember, if you're extended long range cruising this boat, the overall expense of this boat and the adventure, will easily be 6 figures, annually.

You could find some ...half this price (or near half ) ours for example

:)

Ok in some place she look nicest than our but ...near twice the price !!

two decent berths are so much better than a silly island berth.....i have them on my sailboat each us 1 x 2 m and would not change with a 1.6 queen.....especially in the summer heat it is nice to have space and its easier to leave the bed at night without waking up your partner

Agree!....And reminds me of story of couple who had 5 kids. A now adult daughter asked her father, 'so Dad, always separate beds, how did you and mom manage to...'.
Father held up hand to stop her and explained ' every night we'd head to bed...lights out...I'd always toss my hat over to her bed...she would usually toss it back....but sometimes bring it back!

CAMMENGA 61 NORTH SEA TRAWLER motor yacht for sale | De Valk Yacht broker

Sorry , can't understand where is the 883000 € difference between this two boat ?
Same year, same hull model, same engine ... ?

That first Cammenga sold for 285 in September 22, I looked at this one seriously as it had an incredible rebuild. The engine room however did not look nearly as good as the rest of the boat. I really liked the little wooden boat on the deck, they used that for storage.

The next few that have sold were all in the 200s to 300s. They do not sell often.

That turquoise hull boat (they call it baby blue), look at that engine room and other details. I could take a small fortune to make it like new. I look at it like buying a classic car, in some cases, the cost of restoration is far less than what you will get for the boat. These are cool little ships, like your boat. And then there is metal, some people are afraid of metal due to the obvious maintenance. Although there is nothing stronger.

My favorite part of the owners write up is this: "She needs attention like a teenage love". Now that is funny! Been a long long time since I even know what that felt like...but I get what he is talking about. He loves his boat.

Here is a little more information from the owner and brokerage:

HUNTER OWNER’S COMMENTS:

A very rare feeling when you are on board, you feel an absolute secure and love with her after 50 NM of Navigation. She becomes your body, embracing your soul, needs attention like a teenage love. When you are at helm you become her. He adds that; she was above what I had expected before the purchase. You don’t need to think about weather conditions when you cast off. The Gardner’s sound, classical lines, tackling with sea, comfort, mechanical confidence; to me she is the Rolls Royce of the Seas on the other hand she is quite efficient in terms of equipment costs, diesel and other running costs comparing to her competitors around this range. She meets everything you need at sea, ocean. None stop pleasure on board is guaranteed. Just One more thing; an advice for her next owner: don’t get surprised when everyone takes many photos wherever you go…

BROKER’S COMMENTS:

After the purchase of our beloved client’s Ex Sarah Jane II in Sardinia in 2021, we brought back to Turkey, handed over to client successfully, the owner was so keen to modernize and upgrade her into a fully liveaboard boat which took him approx 2 years. Now it is time to go for new projects.

Makes sense. Lots of sense. I just don’t have any experience with even sleeping on a vessel one night let alone for months on end

visited poolster some years ago in Travemünde, baltic sea, impressive and low profil ship. its for sale since 10 years, maybe since it was launched. not sure about the dry exhaust at the stern.

Couple of interesting boats on the intercoastal this week between Hilton Head and Thunderbolt Savannah.

But the most interesting was the full racing capsule 50 plus foot catamaran that pasted me opposite direction about 100 foot from me traveling around 90mph. That was cool.

I have this romantic dream about buying a cool boat like this and touring coastal and canals of Europe.

What is that wood on the pilothouse?

What is the purpose of that blade on the bow? Sacrificial? To help somehow with steerage? To slow down the speed of lateral bow movement? I'd hate to get hit with it that's for sure.

Also, those skinny fenders? Never seen those.

2006 Luxe-Motor 20.00

Namasté is a beautiful, luxurious and comfortable cruising boat, ideal for extensive cruising throughout Europe and full time living aboard, which is how her current owners have enjoyed her over the past 4 years travelling throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
Built in 2006 to a very high standard based on a Euroship steel package, Namasté provides plenty of room at 19.95m x 4.75m whilst remaining just below the requirement for ES-TRIN. With a draft of 1m and an airdraft of 3.2m, there are few waters she can’t access.
For cruising, she has a John Deere (225 horsepower) engine and a hydraulic (power) bow thruster. VHF Radio, GPS, speed and depth instruments. Two generators and 8 solar panels make her independent of shore services. The space on the fore deck for a small car (e.g. Smart Fortwo) and hydraulic lift (1500 kg) makes getting around the countryside easy.
For relaxing, Namasté has a large covered aft deck, a beautifully finished interior, lots of space with a headroom of 205 cm in the wheelhouse and 217 cm in the lounge. There are 2 cabins, each with a double bed. The master cabin is air conditioned. There is also a separate room for washing machine, dryer, freezer, etc.

If you are considering living on the water but also want to be able to sail, then this ship is certainly suitable.

The wood of the wheelhouse is not real, it is painted on it.It is a special technique, when done well and in the right color it is indistinguishable from real wood, wood grain, in the Netherlands they call it Wooden. That bow plate below the waterline is called a windward biter, don't know what the translation is for this.It is to prevent the bow from blowing away with a lot of wind. The plates near the propeller form a screw tunnel, which makes the propeller more efficient, so more speed, power and lower fuel consumption. All commercial inland vessels are equipped with it.

Greeting;

Pascal.

The best kind of wood by the way, wood that is not real after getting my varnish bill at Hinckley lol. Of course Maynard Bray would disagree...I can't believe this man is 90! He told me "Wood is good".

Now this is one of the coolest converted expedition boats I have seen in a while. I could see this going from San Diego to Nome.
