"Cheap" electronics

I was just wondering if anyone has any favorite sites where they can find new electronics that might be last year's model and therefore discounted. Kind of a "clering house" for unsold electonics. I have scoured the internet and haven't found much. I will keep looking but wondering if anyone has a favorite.

eBay has a lot of electronics, usually much cheaper than marine dealers. Amazon, too.


Dealers that do installations often take older equipment in trade. And there's a lot of used electronics on eBay, too.

We got a great deal on a prior year model 14 inch Raymarine MFD directly on the Raymarine website. I'm not sure if other companies sell old models that way, but may be worth looking.

Call the GPS Store. They sell factory refurbished marine electronics and also work with a lot of manufacturers.

Try a marine electronics places that has a large boat dealership nearby, especially in big boating areas such as Newport, Annapolis, Fort Lauderdale......

Also Max Marine in Pompano Beach is worth contacting. Both have good reputations and I know a few happy customers of theirs.
