Just built a new FB dash with new gauges. I have space for one more gauge. Which is more important tranny pressure or temp. Thanks

Although I don't think most boats do it, Twin Disc requires pressure monitoring on their gears. Or at least they do today. Temp monitoring is described and recommended, but is optional. So Twin Disc would vote for pressure.

Both.

It's much more common to see the oil pressure. The temperature is important, but usually when the oil temperature is going up from a clogged heat exchanger, the engine is over heating as well.

My 1976 TD 506 was equipped only with the oil pressure guage.
I would guess that to T,D. that is the most important point to measure.
