Hi All,
Our boating buddies from last season in the Carib had to move back to land dwelling in Texas.
I am just outside of Tampa, FL and have their anchor, chain and 3-strand rode they would like to sell. Details are:
Brand new, never used Fortress FX-37 anchor. This is a big anchor, the shank is just over 3 feet long and the weight is 21 lbs. The anchor is stowable and, in fact, comes in a Fortress bag. The anchor has been assembled several times and therefore has surface scratches so it doesn't look "off the shelf new" but truly has never been used. On the Net, both Amazon and Fortress Factory Outlet are selling this anchor alone for over $500.00.
There is also 50' of 3/8" galvanized G4 chain which is also new and never used.
Spliced onto the chain is 150' of 3/4" 3-strand nylon rode. 1/2 of the 3-strand doesn't fit in the bucket our friends were using for storage so it is dusty but the other half appears off the shelf new.
My friends are asking $450.00 for all three, anchor, rode and chain.
Due to the weight of the chain this can't be shipped, that would cost more than could be imagined!
I am in the Tampa, FL area and will gladly meet a buyer 1/2 way, within reason. Let's say 30 or 40 miles driving on my part. PM me with your location and we can discuss options.
