Looks like some one is covering something but what, you ask? Guess you will need to pull off the preservation tape and remove the cover to find out.

They are terminal boxes. You may find a terminal strip or just wires. Factory prewired for options like lighting, sensors, etc. Wire colors will give you an idea.

Ha ha !

These are covers for the pedestals of the dinette. When the dinette is lowered the two tubes that support it stick down below the salon floor. These covers cover the tubes - presumably for aesthetic, noise and smell reasons.

Okay, Nick. Thanks
They are indeed in the removable salon floor section under where a dinette piece would go, but our vessel does not have one of those and instead has a movable drop-leaf table piece of furniture.
So perhaps they are remanents from a prior owner/prior era now covered over on the top.
Thank you

Just confirming, +1 what Nick said in post #4. We had a 46 which came with the drop-down dinette and it had the same covers in the ER overhead. We sold the table and installed a factory drop-leaf table.

Regards,
Scott
