Rtic will probably soon come up with a less expensive version as they did with the coolers.

I think the timing is actually perfect to make and sell a certain sticker. You could either sell just the sticker, OR put it on any random fishing thing that a teenage boy would want to own.

but hurry; Black Friday is upon us.

BandB 11-21-2017 05:41 PM

Well, seems like it must be an exceptionally good bucket. It's got 103 reviews and a 4.8 rating on them. I'm not an expert on buckets and see Home Depot has them for $3.25 but obviously they won't do what this one will. Guess you need to go purchase one and then give us a report. lol

Bargain! Think how much more it would cost with a boat pic, or "Marine Quality", emblazoned on it.

RTICS' less expensive coolers beat Yeti on most tests. I'm sure the Rtic bucket will do the same. I wonder what the test will include?....

YETI SopUp™ Sponge – $29.99

https://www.trawlerforum.com/forums/d...AAAAAAAAB//9k=
Yes the YETI SopUp Sponge is all-purpose on purpose. Whenever we’re getting our counters wet we need tools that don’t fail when the job gets tough. And the YETI SopUp sponge is ready to get to work. It’s built for wiping the counters, spilt drinks from sundowners, sopping water from the bilge, or whatever other solution-based jobs you need to handle. Versatile, easily stowed, and over-engineered to last, the SopUp sponge can be taken anywhere to do nearly anything. It’s also fully reversible in case you have left and right handed crew, for example.

(with apologies to the marketing writers at West Marine who no doubt worked hard on the bucket marketing collateral)

A fool and his money are soon parted. Anyone who is dumb enough to spend $40 on a bucket, deserves to get taken!

The reviews say the purchasers do not feel taken at all. Perhaps there's more to the bucket than realized. I don't know. Not very knowledgeable in buckets. However, not going to judge from the photos either.

Before we call people fools for what they spend, think back to the thread here on watches. $19.95, you can buy a decent, workable watch. Will do everything you need one to do. Yet, we had quite a collection of $100-$500 watches and even some far more expensive shown and discussed.

Now, as to the bucket, I'm curious. I'd love to see one and hear what the salesman has to say about it.

Oh for crying out loud, it's a bucket.

Get a Home Depot bucket and a magic marker..... Print whatever name you want on the bucket.

The "best" bucket is a black agricultural bucket , while smaller ,it will not mar the sides of the boat as it is being hauled aboard.

Nope, it’s a statement—of affluence and success. For some folks, there’s no substitute for owning what others perceive to be the best. And the Yeti logo says it all. Their money/their choice; but certainly not mine.

I do think the writers of the ad copy used by West deserve a bonus for making this sound like a necessity for any discriminating sportsperson. I suspect they had a good laugh over the final product.

The LoadOut™ 5-Gallon Bucket is all-purpose on purpose. Wherever we’re getting our hands dirty, we need tools that don’t fail when the job gets tough. And the YETI LoadOut™ Bucket is ready to get to work. It’s built for washing down the boat, lugging feed on the ranch, picking up spent shells in the duck blind, or whatever else you need to tackle. Versatile, easily stowed, and over-engineered to last, the LoadOut™ Bucket can be hauled anywhere to do nearly anything. It’s just as handy as a bait bucket as it is storing kindling for the campfire. It’s also food-safe in case you need to keep a whole spit-ton of sunflower seeds handy, for example.

Actually I've seen the quality of Home Depot buckets. Not saying I'd pay $40 but I'd pay considerably more than their $3 for a better bucket for the uses mentioned in the ads on the expensive bucket.

Have you ever seen it? Ever used it? Are you saying all the reviews are fake?

FF 11-22-2017 09:47 AM

You betcha - not only that, when used as a quenching bucket for hot horseshoes, a horse or mule can't break or bend it when they stomp on it!

Not suggesting you believe them, but online reviews should be taken with a grain of salt...some companies hire people to write positive reviews about their products, or negative reviews about their competitors products.
