Shortest Day of the year, cold by our standards, and rainy. More like winters of old, as the dry heatwave conditions of past years drop away replaced by more normal rainfall.
Pre Covid we spent a month + of winter in Europe, so winters seem longer.
Here`s a local taking refuge, probably in the Snowy Mountains (that`s what they are called). We saw a considerable snowfall just 80km west of Sydney a week back.
