Hmmm! That picture brings up some questions. Cristobal produced a storm surge of 3-4' in your area, right. It looks like another 3 feet would lift your boat off of its lift bunks. You do have maybe 4' of additional lift available which is maybe 10-11' above normal which should be ok for all but a Cat 4 or 5 storm. But can you raise your lift an additional 4' and not hit your boat house? Looks like the bow rail may extend beyond your boat house roof. Maybe you can reposition the boat further aft to get more room.
I see this all of the time here in Punta Gorda- lifts that can only give about 7' of surge protection. Any more and sooner or later there will be more, the boat will float off of the lift.

We’ve been anchored in West Bay, northwest of Panama City, for two days waiting for Cristobal to go away. Rain and more rain, but not much wind. Rain cleared out this morning but now have SE 20-25 knots. Cristobal should be making landfall about now but the NHC mentioned the possibility of a secondary center of circulation forming in the eastern half.
