anyone have any experience with nextgen gensets?

NexGen's were the primary genny put into the smaller sized Mainship 30's and some of the 34's, since they seem to fit in small places! Mine does not have one, but there are many here that do and will chime in here. I've heard good and bad on these, but don't have any personal experience. I look in my bilge and wonder how they fit those damn things in anywhere!

I had a NexGen 3.5 kW unit in my MS Pilot 34. Engine runs at 2,800 rpm and a belt drives generator at 3,600. Good compromise.

Simple, reliable design. Uses a Kubota diesel as I recall.
