[Illinois Boatnut]

My wife and I have been boatnuts since the early 1980's. We moved to the Kankakee River in Illinois in 1994 and have been riverrats every since. We now live on the Illinois River near Seneca, IL. MM 256. We have always and still love to ski the river and while living on the Kankakee River we owned three cruisers ; 1972 26' Chris Craft Cavilier, 1979 32' Carver Voyager and our last cruiser 1989 34' Bayliner Avanti. For the last 15 years we have dreamed of taking the Great Loop and we are now considering the purchase of a trawler to help make this dream become a reality. Thanks for the forum and the opportunity to learn from others adventures and experiiences.

You are also in a great place to start your circuit around the eastern United States, a/k/a the Loop. I suspect you have seen plenty of other TF members pass by on your stretch of the Illinois River. Hope you will soon join the parade!
