Does anyone have any firsthand experience s/he can share about the Coaster 23 a small trawler made in the 1980's by RFC Marine of Sidney British Columbia?

I am interested in its handling and general suitability for a single person or couple to explore the San Juan Islands.

It would be good for that.
What do you want to know? I have Orca. Perkins 45hp cruise’s nicely at 5.5 knots and can force it to go over 7 but no fuss doing just under hull speed.
The stand up sunroof is brilliant, I use it just about every time. Steers terrific when manoeuvring and docking due to her huge rudder. Not lots of elbow room below but comfortable.
My biggest complaint is that the door is so narrow.

Wow - that's a lot of boat packed into a small package.
