Have 2340 hours on my Yanmar single. Have not done the 1000 hour check and all seems good. Is the thousand hour check that necessary if all is running fine.

In almost every thread we have regarding purchasing a used boat the expression which comes up is "Well Maintained".

Thousand hour maintenance is part of that program. Do It.
