Larger Integrity Boats

Despite owning an Integrity, I`d not realized they were building boats as large and well fitted out as this:

That looks really, really lovely, BruceK. That would be perfect for us. Portuguese bridge, too. Clean ER, v. neat galley, plenty of places to lie around... Does it sound as though I'm resisting?

:) Just a polite show of resistance?. Thought it was 2017 build, but checking, it`s 2007, 1900 hours, looks remarkably good for age. Lots of the fittings, windows, doors, woodwork, portlights are similar to my 2005 "little boat". Reasonable value too, a similar vintage GB52 would have a $1.2M ask. But as always, survey thoroughly,I rejected a big volume Integrity 426 in Queensland after survey due mainly to rot in the port cabin side, before buying the 386.

Yes, 2007. And I am trying not get to the survey stage! And while it's taken nearly two years, our vessel is in tip-top shape now, and my wife (very reasonably) wants to travel in it after the next slip booking (Feb., 2024). I still like looking though!

In USD it`s < 600K! You are very wise to agree with your wife but, sneaking a look can`t hurt, can it? 40ft of boat is enough for many of us but...it looks a lovely boat.

Never hurts to be looking! :)

Why no ER, backup engine arrangement, or battery pics? The interior is really nice (excellent drawer refrigeration; so efficient) but no ER pics seems weird, to me.

They aren't marketing it to you and me!

Think about the Target Market Determination for this vessel and then you will understand why they have used the pics and video they have.

I also don't think it is a sea boat. Look at how wide open the salon is and the galley has no way for the cook to brace themselves at sea.

This also gives clues as to the TMD and why it is marketed the way it is.

The vessel has also been for sale for some time and there are two videos made by the broker. One for the older advertisement and one for this advertisement.

There is conflicting information included as to fuel usage at different speeds. Also gives an indication of where the focus is with the marketing of the vessel.

As well there have been a few interesting changes with pricing which I found rather amusing. But won't go into that!

Not sure its ongoing, I read recently that Clipper had ceased operations for financial reasons. A shame, such a well known brand back to the 1970s, though I think ownership of the brand changed. Their main sales guy, Andy Diehm set up on his own 3 years ago, seems to work as a used Clipper specialist, very brand knowledgeable.

Poking around at a possible upgrade for our family and looking at 45-50' sailing catamarans; this trawler catamaran popped up and has me intrigued. The space is amazing.

From what I can gather she's a one-off, originally a motorsailer, built in France. Unfortunately she doesn't ever seem to have been properly used. Broker says she needs hull and bottom paint but other than that is good to go (yeah right).

Nevertheless a really interesting layout, and appears to be an efficient long-range vessel. Interested to hear the collective TF wisdom... worth a trip to Martinique?

this catamaran, had a mast fitted on the flying bridge and a quite big furling genoa.
Finally the man who manage the original project (under the design of Joubert/Nivelt naval architect) remove the mast.

I saw that - an interesting concept that must have not caught on since they never built a second one. I don't know Joubert/Nivelt - good reputation?

Joubert/Nivelt ?

Probabely one off the more well know architect in France ( Unfortunately Joubert passed few year ago )
They design boat during around 50 year and also he navigate a lot and own different boat ( Tigre Mou a 47' steel schooner, a 20m light catamaran, Marguerite a 16 m alloy motor sailer, he made France/Tunisia/France in one day with his small motor boat "Lulu Belle")
Nivelt participate for design the US catamaran ( Stars and Stripes)who win the America cup.
On this site you have a couple who bought a 50' alloy catamaran Joubert/Nivelt.

They made design for boatyard like, Gib Sea, Beneteau, Dynamique Yacht, Océa ( trawler Esperitus Santus, long range Abilly Wheeler, Motor sailor Hortense...) Archambault, Racing catamaran like "Charente Maritime".Kiriè (ange de mer "trawler" in the seventies

We own a Chassiron GC ( Joubert adapt the drawing from wood to fiberglass), a Damien II (14 m steel schooner), he made the hull line of the 18 m motor sailor we built in Vietnam 33 year ago, he made the hull line of our Long-Cours 62 (19.45 m passagemaker), and the actual alloy Trawler 72'.

No comment on the boat, but I gave up looking at the photos after the third one. The number of watermark images the Broker has added to each picture is ridiculous. Very distracting having them plastered all the way across every single image.

I understand the intent, but a watermark in a corner is all that is necessary.

Here are a couple of boats I found interesting. Location Lulu's Homeport Marina Orange Beach, Alabama. Lulu is Jimmy Buffet's sister.
The steel trawler is Ulysses (and for sale) the sailboat is "Old Squaw"

Let's go back 677 pages in time in this topic.
On page one of this topic you can find a picture of a Fischer.
A year ago, a similar Fischer sailed into the shore on a canal in the Netherlands with fatal consequences.
When you see the damage, I'm surprised it's so huge.
Also what the damage looks like, a crack torn vertically parallel to a truss!
We have also sailed on the stones with our steel ship, more than once.
But then it was only a few scratches and once a small dent.

Greeting

Pascal.

Epoxy coated mahogany, re-powered, owned by Art DeFever. A TON of brightwork but what a gorgeous vessel. Hope whomever buys her next can afford to keep her looking great.

Nice.....it even has one of those yacht like boarding ladder/platform things!

Agree, nice vessel. Classic styling. Reminds me of my previous Burger (Hargrave designed). Interestingly, Hargrave designed this large yacht back in the 90's with the same classic styling, which was a bold move on the part of the owner who commissioned it.

BTW, look at the size of those wonderful cowl vents! They gotta be at least 8" and obviously custom made.

@Serene, I also love those boarding ladders with platforms. If I can fit one on my future boat then will do without the swim platform at the transom. I never liked the motion when there's any pitching at anchor. Side-entry is so much better.

A stunningly beautiful boat. Looks like a great deal of work (and expense went into the restoration. Epoxy coating the planking!

It's actually amazing how much boat it is for the price. But then, annual upkeep and periodic repairs would probably be a significant fraction of the purchase price.

Here's a former USCG boat for sale. It's cheap for an 82 footer, but conversion for pleasure use would probably be a black hole amount of money:

As a long time fan of power catamarans, this boat caught my attention a year or so ago (yes, it has been for sale for a long time). Love the layout (at least as best one can tell from the pictures). The overall condition of the boat looks concerning (serious growth on hulls, etc...). Looks like a long time live aboard that hasn't moved much in a long time.
