Sea Talk Nautical Dictionary says "the area deep under the stern where the planking fits into the sternpost". I thought my shipwright was using the term interchangeably with "transom" but did not ask to avoid showing my ignorance.
While researching, I also found: "Recreational Trawler- a pleasure boat built in the style of a trawler". Quite apt.
I was not game to search "cockhole" online (see another thread) for fear of computer damage by porn spam avalanche. Might the location "Castro" have featured?
