    • For your own security, do NOT include your e-mail or phone number in your ad. Instead request that interested parties contact you via PM (private message) to provide owners contact info.
    • Brokers, Dealers, or those with a commercial interest in a sale are prohibited from posting in Classifieds.
    • Only Trawler Forum Commercial Members may post ads in the Commercial section. You must be a designated Commercial Member to start threads in this section of the forum. (Contact a moderator if you have questions about this)

  • Avoid Scams.

Our classifieds are free and anyone registered here is welcome to post an ad.
Be aware that there are unscrupulous folks out there. Avoid any interaction that seems odd to you or feels wrong. Inquiries from unknown buyers, buyers agents and other non-traditional approaches should be treated with extreme caution.

Beware of unsolicited contacts offering to put you in touch with someone else who is buying or selling via e-mail or text.

Do not post your e-mail address or phone number in a classifieds ad.

Hints that you may be dealing with a Scammer:
    • Seller or Buyer approaches you via a direct email or PM and then steers you to an off-site communication method (text or email).
    • No posts or very few forum posts.
    • Recent forum membership
    • Insists on conducting negotiations via email or text rather than PM
    • Requires payment via Bank Transfer, BitCoin/CryptoCurrency, WesternUnion or other unsecured method.
    • Buyer or Seller suggests Paypal "Friends and Family" payment. Paypal is a good way to arrange payment but an invoice for goods and services should be used rather than "Friends and Family". "Friends and Family" avoids fees BUT there is no recourse if the transaction runs aground. Friends and Family is for gifts only. There is no protection for Friends and Family transactions, so never ever use it to buy something.
    • Declines to allow viewing the item before proceeding with the transaction.

Well equipped, maintained and upgraded Camano 31. We are the owners and are experienced cruisers who reviewed and updated Safari's systems over the last couple of years. Lots of updates to electrical, plumbing, electronic systems, engine, generator, etc. The hull was polished and waxed last month. New bottom paint and zincs this month. Safely stored under cover on the hard for hurricane season. Safari is truly turnkey. She's a gem. If you're looking for a Camano 31 you owe it to yourself to have a look at her.

Just got back from a two month cruise of the Bahamas and the boat performed great.

We have a lot of information, as well as, pictures and video of Safari on our Safari website at : www. camano31.com

good looking boat.

Question... will this boat plane?

The Camano 31 was designed with a "Keelform" hull design by naval architect Bob Warman with a displacement section forward and a planing section aft. So technically, yes, the boat will get up on a plane. In my opinion the Camano is not really a "planing" boat. Realistically, in our experience, the boat is very happy cruising all day at around 7-8 knots. On the odd occasion, for short periods of time we will get the boat up on a plane at 10-11 knots max if needed to avoid bad weather, etc. Our boat has a realistic top speed of 15 knots WOT (around 3700 rpm loaded for cruising). However, the boat should be run at no more than 90% of WOT for any extended period of time (according to Volvo). So that's around 3200 or so rpm, which yields a speed of around 11 knots or so in optimal conditions. Of course, fuel consumption increases significantly at 11 knots. In our experience, the fuel consumption doubles from 8 knots to 11 knots. In short, in my opinion, the Camano 31 owner should be able to be happy cruising all day at 7-8 knots relatively economically, rather than getting on a plane and cruising at 11 knots or so with double the fuel consumption.

good looking boat.

Question... will this boat plane?

It's more of a "semi-plane". Theoretical "hull speed" is just below seven knots and it is very comfortable and economical at that speed. Unlike a true displacement hull, the boat will go faster if you apply enough power and top speed at WOT is 13 knots or so, depending on excess weight (fuel, water and "stuff").

My boat is a Camano Troll and we love it for cruising but we cruise at seven knots. If you are looking for a planing boat, this may not be your best choice.
