Despite being convinced this was just snake oil I have been adding a can of Restore at each 100hr oil change to my 3cyl Northern Lights and 4cyl Onan gensets. It’s been 200 hrs and there is a noticeable reduction in oil consumption particularly in the NL which used to need oil every morning after a days run. The Onan used to take oil every 20 hrs or so and this last time it went the whole 100hrs without a top up. I have 5 gallon pails with hand pumps so I don’t know how much I add in terms of quarts, but the NL used to be 3/4 down the dipstick after 10 hours or so and now it’s barely noticeable.
The NL has 3200 hrs and the Onan Hobbs shows 1970hrs , but since it’s over 30 years old I doubt that very much.
