What are the hacksaws for?

While browsing for the next boat this morning, I ran across this picture....now, I have a hacksaw on my boat- But I don't have TWO....seemingly at the ready to violently and raggedly saw (as all hack saws do) things. Made me chuckle...

The one on the right does look better than mine...less hacky. Hacksaw envy!

If you can carry only one saw, make it a hacksaw.

Since the hacksaws and the belts are stored together, I’m going to guess there is a relationship there.

One fine toothed blade for thin, hard materials and one coarse blade for everything else,
of course! I think the grouping with the belts is just 'things that can be hung up'.

To cut an engine raw-water intake hose in a water-ingress emergency and re-direct it to the bilge?? (at least until the impeller jams with debris)

Better have both. Sawzall doesn't work very well underwater...

Geez, I only have spare blades, not a whole spare hacksaw.

I now feel under-prepared!
