I recently replaced a ball valve that was not bonded with a seacock, and now I guess I need to connect it to the bonding circuit (or whatever it's called).

What size wire and connections do I need? Is there a special type of green wire? Do I just connect it to an existing bonded seacock?

I'm an electrical idiot for the most part, obviously. The ball valve failed closed. Wonder if it was because it wasn't bonded?

Use #8 green tinned wire. Seal the connectors. Using either crimp connectors that seal with adhesive lined covers or soldered on connectors covered with adhesive lined heat shrink tube.

You can connect to another close by bonded thru hull.

Oh, and it doesn't hurt to clean and paint or seal over the actual connection point on the seacock.

Use multi stran, not single solid wire.
