I am looking for high quality push-button latches, the kind that have a positive latch on drawers and cabinets. I can find cheap plastic ones, but am having difficulty sourcing nice metal ones. I seem to recall the best ones are Sugatsume, but wondering if anyone knows for certain?

Thanks in advance -

Peter

Is this what you are looking for? SeaDog - so not top quality. But OK.

Look at boatoutfitters.com. Don’t know if they have what you want or not but they have a bunch of them.

Well, I received a PM and it looks like Man Ship is decent quality - SS button, spring, and trim (vs chrome plated plastic on competing items, which is what I am trying to avoid). $24/ea from Amazon. The SeaDog looks like it might be metal, but doesn't say for sure.

Thanks -

Sea Dog knobs are brass - either chrome plated or polished. The body appears to be heavy plastic. It looks like the Man Ship is a more expensive and heavier duty product.

Man Ship seems like a good choice if you are looking for better quality.

There's a brand called Hafele, available at searayparts.com (or something like that). The buttons and bezels are metal, the back is a plastic box with the lock parts.
