San Miguel was built and finished by Lewis McKenzie in New Zealand over a 3 year period. A few years back, I had plans to build this boat and trailer it from coast to coast. After some head scratching and figgerin. I decided to build a Selway-Fisher design, Teign 45. More boat, more space, better for living aboard for long durations. Covid hit and my boat building suppliers couldn't get supplies and one by one they went under which left me looking at used boats. Anyway, I am happy to see someone build San Miguel. I think the cabin is a little large, but the boat wasn't built for me.
