Purasan EX question

We recently had a Purasan EX installed on one of our vacuflush heads. The process is first press the Purasan button, then flush the head. Anyone know what happens if the head is flushed without the Purasan first? Does the system back up? Hasn't happened yet, to my knowledge, but we are wondering....

My understanding of the Purasan EX is the flush of the toilet displaces treated waste in the in the Purasan EX. There are 2 chambers in the Purasan, the flush pushes treated waste from the first chamber to the second chamber. The waste in the second chamber is pushed overboard by the waste from the first chamber. I would guess that failure to push the Purasan button could lead to discharging untreated waste overboard.
