Anyone ever ordered an outboard from this website - Yamaha Outboards For Sale,Suzuki Boat Motors,Honda Marine Engines

Company behind the website is Yanlun Marine Trade Co. LTD.

They have great pricing on Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda outboards with free worldwide shipping. The only thing I'm skeptical on is the fact they don't ship the goods until they receive a money order or check. Does anyone know if they are legit?

The other issue is are they responsible for import costs?

When I ordered my windlass from Spain, they clearly said they would handle it and I got import paperwork from both them and customs showing no additional costs to me.

I'd recommend if you want to save money, going to a casino and placing some bets or playing some games and then using your earnings there to afford the extra.

Oh, that's gambling? My point exactly.

Warranty. Duty. Customs clearance. Shipper and shipping costs. Will you get what you expect. Once you send your money will you get anything and when? And do not trust any favorable reviews if you find them. Also, don't trust talking to someone who had great results as past performance may not be indicative of current. Basically, like the casino, only gamble if you can afford to lose all you send them.

Do you know first hand about this business? That's what the OP asked, has anyone ever ordered from them.

Finding parts. Engines made for other parts of the world are not necessarily identical to US engines, so I was told by Zimmerman marine when I took my Bahamas purchased outboard in for repair. I got lucky that time.

I know all I need to know about them. There have been others and will be more. Start up in 2016. I know the reviews are fake, but then the man in charge is Joe Law. I have no idea where their inventory is stored but doubt seriously it's on the 16th floor or 9th floor or even in Hong Kong. I know their retail shown prices are far above retail and their selling prices are too good to be true and I learned long ago, "When something seems too good to be true, it probably is." I'm also familiar with the nightmares others have encountered dealing with similar China outboard dealers. I've also seen other instances of outboards being sold at ridiculously low prices and how they worked out. I also know when you buy and it doesn't work out, if you're in the US and they have no US presence, but China only, your chances of recovery are zero.

No, I haven't bought from them, but I don't need to in order to have a very educated opinion of what might happen to one who does. My advice remains the same, only if you can afford the gamble and losing it all.

tl:dr

At this price I want two. I don't think you could even import this one if it was legitimate.

Boatruptcy was corrrect...I was asking if anyone knew if this company was legit. Judging from responses, no one on TF has dealt with this company which is what I would have needed to consider purchasing from them. BandB is correct that most things that appear too good are too good to be true and hell no I don't gamble with my money! If one or more TF members had replied the company was legit, I would have looked further into the other obstacles. I'm going to need a pair of 225 hp outboards soon so price is a determining factor worth exploring for great deals.

Thanks for the comments. I'm moving on!
