Somehow, this French Trawler -Cruiser style boat builder has escaped my notice until now. Builds include 36, 43, 47 and a prospective 57. Twin diesel & apparently twin keel design.

There is something Beneteau about that boat.

The plum stem? Never really liked that look, but it has it's benefits.

kelvin diesel

Very interesting boat
64 Herbert Woods Custom Trawler Triton 1972 Alameda | Denison Yacht Sales.
Please note Kelvin T6 23.6l 180 HP at 1000 rpm 3.26 tons. The Kelvin reduction gear is massive and I don,t know if that is part of the 3.26 tons. It swings a 48" prop. Nothing is said of hull condition but that is a very good price if hull is good.

Seems to be holding its resale value quite well considering its a 45 year old wooden boat. But is it just me or does it look like it's taking on water at the stern?

Here is one that comes up for sale every few years.

She looks to be a lovely boat, if you can afford the maint.

Yeah you're right. It's not taking on water - I guess I was fooled by the unbalanced sheer line

The sheer does look like it aught to sweep up a bit more aft or be extended about 6 ft.

Passed this one in Bay City, MI this morning. Haven't seen it around before. She's got chain plates and a bowsprit. I wonder if she's got a mast and sail rig.

Jay Benford design, could be cement construction.

That's good.....One of her previous owners contacted me about extending the hull and adding a round fantail stern. I made a sketch but it went nowhere......

Maybe not as good looking, but equally interesting is this US Navy conversion, ideal for prolific utility boatmen like FF, "Fred".

I've posted Branson Boat Design's Trawler 52 before, but found this GB Yachting site with specifications as well as construction, interior, and underway photo's:
