Justrite makes a one-gallon safety can, Model #7110200. Safety cuz it has a very strong, spring-loaded cap with gasket. Justrite makes gas and kerosene models as well in 1-gallon, 2.5-gallon, and 5-gallon. I keep my dinghy gas in a 2.5-gallon can, no worries, virtually impossible to leak regardless of sea state. I keep a full can in my diesel truck. It has NEVER leaked.

I have one as a gas can...AMAZING quality.

I used to keep a gallon of Lucas injector cleaner for that purpose. It was enough to do both the racors.

So we have these onboard (and at the house). Best fuel can ever made. Not cheap, but the next time our Wallas runs out of fuel in the middle of a windstorm with driving rain at night, I'll love it all over again...

Only drawback is they don't make a smaller than 5 gallon diesel can.

My personal favorite gas can for filling the mower and snowblower at the house are the No-spill cans. The push button spout is great for not making a mess (as you can push only a little to feed fuel very slowly if needed). I think they make a 1, 2.5, and 5 gallon version. They come in yellow versions labeled for diesel too.

Yellow cable tie

I have a yellow cable tie around the handle of my 1 gal diesel jug. Not elegant but certainly easy. The cable tie looks out of place, so it is noticeable.

Greetings,
Re: Post #35. Welcome aboard. Yellow cable tie is even cheaper than a can of yellow paint!
