Hello all,

Relatively new boater with 1 1/2 years cruising the Puget Sound under my belt now. Mostly have been doing day trips so far but looking forward to some longer voyages. Currently have a planing hull cruiser which extends the options for day trips. Lately though I have been researching trawlers and planning for the retirement boat where a slower pace will be a welcome change.

Hoping to learn about the trawler models and help to down select to the one that is right for us.

My wife and I cruise out of the Port of Everett with our dog Griffin, where the views of the mountains and whale watching are staples of our outings.

Welcome aboard. Good luck with your search. Look for a TrawlerFest. They have classes on trawlers and usually some boats to walk through. I would start with a list of must haves and must not haves. Powerboat Guide has hundreds of power boats descriptions and line drawings. They give a brief overview of the boats. It may help get you started. No affiliation.
