The previous owner of our Mainship 350 mounted a stainless steel fold-down ladder on the top of the swim platform on the port side. Much easier to use than the built-in center one, which is still there, and still works.

Before and after on our 1999 Mainship 350.

Stern ladder

Our ladder is very hard to pull out of it's pocket. Seems like the plastic coating is coming apart and that may be binding it up.

Anyone ever had that issue or done anything to make the ladder easier to us? Takes all my strength to pull it out.

Buy a dive ladder and install the mount just above the waterline on your transom. Works great.
