San Juan County Announcement

This morning on KOMO Seattle AM radio, San Juan County announced in what sounded like a paid ad that it wants people to stay away. The request wasn't specific, but it sounded like 'please don't ride the ferries to come visit us' and the intent was probably for visiting transient boats as well. This might be old news but I hadn't heard this ad before. Hardly a surprise.

BC has asked Albertan's not to visit and even towns like Tofino on Vancouver Island (which is about as tourist driven as it gets) are asking people not to come:

To ensure compliance with all levels of government and the recommendations from public health officials, the District of Tofino is asking residents and visitors to avoid all non-essential travel at this time.
