Two days ago Rescue found a solo sailor who had been in the water for 8 hours,by tracking the PLB attached to his lifejacket. Here`s the report:

More good news, the boat has now been recovered, together with "Stinky", the owners cat, which was still onboard.

Good work on their part finding him. We wear PLBs on our inflatable PFDs. Well worth the cost.

Where can a feller get a rearm kit?

Not only do I wear a PLB on my lifejacket, I wear my lifejacket hook to hook or dock to dock. It's the things you don't expect that kill you -- like a freak gust of wind.

Good thing they found Captain Kitty too.
