Hi,
Just put our new to us 1971, Albin 25, "Driftless" in the water. She has been mostly on the hard in Groton, CT since she was sold by Trawler forum user "driftless" a few years ago.
She came with a trailer and I am in the process of replacing the surge brake coupler and springs in it to make it reliable enough for boat camping.
We moved to the USA in 2000 from Sweden and we were going out in the archipelago of Luleå with my wifes sisters family in their Albin 25 a few times so we have been thinking of getting one here in the USA for quite a few years and this summer we found Driftless for sale and ended up buying her.
She is in pretty good shape. Mechanically everything works but the electric system is going to be reworked during the fall.
Hopefully she will get busy transporting the Jonsson's around in Long Island sound and up Hudson and into Eire canal next summer. This fall will be used for getting used to handling her and understand the reliability of her and fix what needs to be fixed.
