New to Trawlers. Wish us luck!

Hey Forum. We just bought our first power boat as a live aboard. I grew up sailing on the East Coast and I have worked on boats most of my life. I have a 50 ton license and I sail about 150 days a year. My girlfriend and I have lived together with my kids and a dog on my 42 foot wood ketch for about 9 years on and off, but the idea of moving back on to her at this point just wasn't cutting it. We live in the Bay Area, and houses are so expensive we decided to make the move to the dark side with a Nova Heritage 44 Sundeck. Seems like a lot of boat for the money, and this one is in great shape. Our next adventure will be a week or so around the San Juan's, and then a frightening delivery back to the bay. Wish us luck!

Welcome to the forum and best of luck on your shake-down voyage. The 44 should make an excellent live-aboard.
