What's not to believe?
FWIW, some people prefer to eat fertilized eggs (as opposed to "conventional" farmed eggs). They say the flavor is different.
In the US farmed eggs are candled to make sure that they do not contain a developing embryo. Eggs that do are rejected.
Possibly these were missed in the inspection. Since they are free range eggs, who knows what happened out in the field.
