Soup, ooze, slime... holes of it scattered variously all over the Bay. Usually mud, ranging from hard to soft but usually on the softer side...

And then you find one of those snotty holes.


I forgot to mention muck. That'd be about halfway between soup/ooze/slime and soft mud.

Types of Sand?

Just coming back from the Exhumas, the sand appears to be soft Calcium Carbonate from shells. But incredible holding, fun to see your anchor. When we stopped at Shell Island Pensacola, WOW what a difference Silica sand feels like!!! I know that sand would be the best holding of all. I assume Steve is testing in Silica sand. I appreciate Steve's work.
