I'm a little short of details about model number of sensor but thought I would throw this out there before going to the boat tonight. I have a water gauge that is reading backward. It reads full when it's empty and empty when full. I flipped the wires around and no change. So do I install the sensor on the bottom of the tank rather than the top......LOL.
What should I be looking for?

Turn the gauge upside down, or stand on your head when reading it. Unless it is a digital gauge, then you are screwed.

The hand stand may be a good idea;-)

There are two standards for gauges, and as you have seen, they are the reverse of each other. You will need to do some sleuthing via model number investigation or measurements to figure out what your display is and what your sender is. Then change one to match the other. I supposed there is also a possibility that the display can be configured both ways, and you would have to find the manual to figure that out.

Keep your tank at Half full, gauge will always be right..
