Hi All, last year my port smart craft fuel consumed gauge quit at 6,553 gallons but the strbd kept going. Just this week the starboard gauge quit exactly at 6,553 gallons consumed.

Now both port and starboard gauges have stopped at the exact same number and I know I'm not looking at the same gauge duplicated in each place. They are two separate gauges each stopped at same exact number.

Any thoughts?

My thought is that is the max number that can be stored. Can you reset the gallons used?

I'd guess that's a trip gauge, and is meant to be reset for each trip. 65535 is the max value that can be stored in a 16 bit integer, so they are counting 10ths of a gallon.

That's your max gallons for your own personal lifetime carbon footprint allowed by the EPA. Like gas rationing. Maybe you could buy some credits from a tree hugger
