I installed a new alternator with an external regulator last week and had a short trip last Saturday and the screenshot shows what looks to be pretty good...the Balmar AHS-5 regulator can be configured with many settings as far as battery type, bulk charge voltage & duration etc..
Definitely a nice way to pamper the battery banks.

We left the dock around 11 and was at our destination shortly after 2.

Looks like the regulator told the alternator to bulk charge for about 18 minutes, as it was set to if I remember correctly, and level off.

Thanks,

Its a screenshot from the Victron VRM Portal. Its the web page that the victron Cerbo, while connected to a Wifi, provides. Itss very configurable as what info you would like to view. I installed a new Victron Multiplus Inverter/Charger, a Cerbo GX and the Touch50 Touchscreen a few months ago.

Thanks. I am about to install a Venus GX to match up with an existing MultiPlus inverter charger. I believe it will produce that same data view.
