It'll be interesting to see what happens there, as Garrison Bay is under the National Parks jurisdiction.

It was time to move. Been there for 7 nights. That and I can run to Roche Harbor in the dingy for some milk for my breakfast cereal. I did check online to make sure the park was not closed before coming over. Will the 1/4 distance between us be sufficient??

As the Port of Poulsbo moves through this current emergency let me put forth what the responsibilities of the port are and the actions we are taking.
- In Washington State, ports are the bridge between water, air, rail, road and are run by the public. It is our responsibility to maintain these essential access points as a governmental agency for the public. We have given emergency authorization to our port manager to ensure the Port can fulfill its responsibilities.
- First for commerce / safety, this includes commercial fisherman, first responders, and other essential water-based activities that are continuing. We have a unique port with a tidal loading dock requiring no personnel to operate it (at the top of D dock) that we will maintain open we also have a fuel dock that will also remain open.
— Second a number of responsible citizens in our region have chosen to socially isolate on their boats primarily on anchor. As a port, it is our responsibility to ensure these citizens have a safe place to access food, medicine, fuel, and dump their waste. The port will maintain minimal staff to continue the operation of the fuel dock, pump out station, marina maintenance, and dock moorage. We have stopped taking reservations for the transient slips, however if someone feels it is necessary to use a transient slip, they will be using the afterhours drop box for registration and payment.
- Third we are considered a public park on E and F docks; due to the choke points to enter and exit the docks, we are asking that the public limit their use of the docks to water-based activities. Essentially asking if you are not getting on or off a boat or seaplane please keep the docks clear for those that are.
We will continue to keep everyone informed as we make through the next few months. It has been wonderful to see what we all already know, Poulsbo knows how to pull together, we have done it before, and we are doing it now. This will all come to an end and life will return to normal until then love, support and continue to serve your neighbors.

The Port of Friday Harbor in support of the Governor’s “Stay at Home” order and in the best interest of the public and our staff, is closed to transient moorage and airport camping until May 30, 2020. This action will take effect at 5 pm Wednesday March 25, 2020 in an effort to flatten the spread of COVID-19.

PS, per a recent call to the Port, the closure is thru 4/30 (not 5/30 as in the announcement) with the possibility of further extensions. Pumpout facilities are open. Fuel dock is open (may need to call attendant). Short term transient dock is only open to county residents for inter-island traffic.

salishseapilot.com has a status list of marina closures and other useful info to us boaters in the PNW.
The status of Salish Sea marinas, docks and marine parks in BC and Washington is in a state of flux as the worsening COVID-19 crisis changes conditions daily, sometimes hourly.
The crew at Salish Sea Pilot has spent many hours attempting to contact marinas from the Broughtons to Puget Sound to identify which are accepting transient visitors and, if they are, what services are available once those boaters tie up. We also hoped to keep track of which summer events had been cancelled.
The information below is incomplete. We will update as new information comes in. Please call ahead to any marina you hope to visit to get the latest information.
And there are other factors boaters should be aware of. For instance, regardless of the willingness of marinas to accept transients, island communities in the Gulf Islands, Howe Sound, off the Sunshine Coast and in the Discovery Islands, have asked non-resident boaters to stay away. They cite the vulnerable age of many island residents and the shortages of food in island shops. BC Ferries have cut back sailings to the islands, reportedly making it more difficult for local stores to restock.
So while these appeals to stay home might have questionable legal authority, it’s worth noting non-residents are unlikely to receive a warm welcome.
Marine parks
Services have been suspended in all marine parks in British Columbia, though as of March 24, boaters could still access mooring buoys and tie up at park docks as long as they respected social distancing when ashore.
Washington State Parks has closed parks for overnight or day use. The few marinas/docks which provide overnight moorage, such as at Blake Island and Jerrell Cove, have been closed.
There are no plans now to limit use of park mooring buoys, said Anna Gill, communications director of Washington State Parks. The message here is “tie up to a buoy, but don’t go ashore.”
Marinas and docks
Our cruising guides focus on marinas which offer moorage and other services to transient boaters, so that’s who we chose to focus on in this article.
BROUGHTONS
Alert Bay Boat Harbour: The marina has not responded to requests for information, but the mayor of Alert Bay has asked non-residents to not visit the island.
Port Hardy
Quarterdeck Resort & Marina: The Quarterdeck Marina has closed until further notice.
Fisherman’s Wharf: Closed and will remain so at least until the end of March.
Port McNeill
North Island Marina: “North Island marina in Port McNeill is open and will be for the foreseeable future. We are taking precautions with cleaning to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. We take reservations on our website as well as over the phone.”
Port McNeill Harbour Authority: According to a March 18 news release from Pete Nelson-Smith, the town’s chief administrative officer, “the harbour staff will continue to provide services as needed at the Port McNeill Municipal and Federal Marinas. However, to ensure social distancing is followed, in-person business at the harbour will be limited to those who have arranged in-person meetings ahead of time. Please contact harbour staff at 250-956-3881 to arrange a meeting time.”
Sayward Harbour Authority: “As of now we have no plans to close or limit services at our harbour.”
Telegraph Cove: Neither Telegraph Cove Marina or Telegraph Cove Resort have yet opened to the public, but all other facilities in Telegraph Cove are closed to the public. This includes bathrooms, boardwalks, campground, trails, etc.
DESOLATION SOUND
April Point Marina: The April Point Resort and Spa has been closed until further notice. In their announcement online, no mention was made of their marina, but the community of Quadra Island has requested that visiting boats stay away.
Blind Channel Resort: “We are open, and have not restricted services at this time. Traffic is still low here, as it is a seasonal business, and we are cleaning after every customer interaction. So far we haven’t cancelled any events for this summer, but we are monitoring the situation daily and may be required to at some point. If the ban on restaurant seating is still in effect this summer we will be offering take out service, and will also deliver food and necessities to anchorages in the area with our water taxis.”
Coast Marina: “We will be open and accepting transient moorage year-round through this very difficult crisis. Most government facilities locally are running at a very minimum. Most grocery stores are open. We have no cancelled events for this coming summer as of yet.”
Discovery Harbour Marina: Marina office will remain closed until further notice. Staff is available to assist customers by phone or email during business hours for payments or moorage inquiries. Nearby, the supermarket and pharmacy remain open, while most other shops have closed.
The Ocean Pacific Marine Store and Boatyard next door to the marina has restricted hours. Customers can place orders by phone or email for pick up at the dock. Boatyard customers can receive deliveries to the boatyard. There are plans to expand the deliveries to homes and nearby marinas.
Fisherman’s Landing and Lodge: “Fishermans landing is not accepting boaters at this time … and all services are closed until further notice.”
Heriot Bay Inn and Marina: As of March 22, fuel dock was open Wed-Sat 2-4pm. The restaurant was open 4-6pm for pickup orders. Off sales available only meal food orders. Payment options include by phone, e-transfer or on site. Guests can also order through the lobby gate and return for pickup.
Stuart Island Community Dock (Big Bay): “So far we are open to transient boaters. There are discussions at some of the resorts and lodges about partial closures but nothing confirmed yet for our area. Also our main event which is the Salmon Enhancement Auction for August 3 is a go as of today but all of that can obviously change.”
SUNSHINE COAST
Backeddy Marina: Pub is taking food orders for pickup from noon to 7pm.
Bathgate Marina: This marina does not normally have transient moorage, but does operate a general store, fuel dock, coin laundry and showers. “We are still open for fuel sales, as is our grocery store. The store itself is closed to the public, but we are picking and packing and taking the orders to the door for our customers.” Payment options include credit cards, e-transfers and debit purchases under $100. No cash accepted.
“We have closed our public laundry facilities and restrooms, along with our hotel and RV site.”
Egmont Public Wharf: “Egmont Harbour has transient space available. There is an honour box at the top of the ramp for moorage payment. We trust that boaters will observe the government recommendations for distancing and social behaviour.”
Comox Valley Marina: “We would still accept a transient boater if they have not been out of province or country for the past 14 days. We have closed our bathrooms, showers and laundry. “(We are) not aware of restrictions from the Town of Comox at this time except their bathrooms, etc, are also likely closed. We don’t have any large events to cancel, but the town and other organizers have canceled several events.”
Fairwinds Marina: From their website, “Fairwinds Marina will remain accessible for monthly, semi-annual and annual customers only. No transient boaters will be accepted until further notice.” The marina office is closed to the public, but staff are on-site to assist long-term customers by phone or email.
False Creek Harbour Authority: (Fisherman’s Wharf is) open as usual, though “we are working with a reduced staff to limit exposure… We can assist with power hookup and vessel tying but are not issuing parking passes and ask for questions and payments to be directed on-line or by phone rather than in-person if possible.”
Any vessel arriving from the US will be asked to quarantine on their vessel for 14 days upon arrival. “We may restrict these vessels at some point but has not been an issue as of yet.”
Many grocery stores and ships services are still functioning normally, though some with reduced hours of operation. “(We are) not aware of any closures that would affect boaters at this time. All of our summer events have been cancelled. We are still expecting the Celebration of Lights to happen, which is our busiest time of the year, but cannot say for certain that it will take place as many major events have been tabled for the year.”
John Henry’s Marina and Resort: “John Henry’s is the only fuel dock in Pender Harbour. Our intention is to remain open, unless we are required to close… We are also accepting transient vessels and at this point there are no service restrictions. Our washrooms are being carefully cleaned daily and our general store, for provisions, is currently open from 10am to 6pm, seven days a week. We are limiting store visits to two guests at a time. Key touch points in the store are cleaned hourly to protect both staff and clients. If someone arrives who is self-isolating they must tell us so that appropriate distancing actions can be taken, while still providing service.” Marina operators have not heard of other shutdowns in the area that would particularly affect transient boaters. Also, no group events have yet been cancelled.
Lighthouse Marina: “We have decided to remain closed. We would like to keep our staff & community safe. As this is new for all of us, we want to take everything with precaution. We will be revisiting take out and delivery in the near future… We are looking forward to serving everyone once we feel it is safe.”
Pacific Playgrounds Resort & Marina: “Pacific Playgrounds will remain open to self-contained RVs, cottages and RV rentals. As of March 23, 2020 we have temporarily closed our public bathrooms, shower facilities and the children’s playground. In the interest of social distancing, our office is now closed to traffic, however, our staff continue to work inside and are happy to assist you over the phone or through the sliding window in the office area.”
Guests can prepay by credit card over the phone. Registration information can be emailed to guests in advance. Payments for using the boat launch can be made by cash only, deposited through the office door mail slot. Current office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-4pm and Saturday 9am-1pm.
Saltery Bay public wharf: No changes have been made, though no services are normally offered at the dock or nearby. The closest services are in Powell River, 20-30 minutes away by car.
Texada Boat Club: The marina has closed their transient dock and boat launch until further notice. The club is open to members who have been asked to be diligent with social distancing and sanitation.
GULF ISLANDS
Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa: Given the rapidly evolving and unprecedented circumstances around COVID-19, and taking into consideration our staff, guests and community, we have made the difficult decision to close the Brentwood Bay Resort Pub and public spaces in the resort until further notice.
Chemainus Municipal Marina: Open for transient boaters at this time. “Not much space is available, as the winter customers are still here. The town of Chemainus, groceries and pharmacies are open.”
Ladysmith Maritime Society (Ladysmith Community Marina): “As of Friday, March 20, the Ladysmith Community Marina closed the office. We are accepting transient moorers who pay online only. At present – and this may change very shortly – transient boaters still have access to the marina washrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Pumpout is closed. The closest grocery store has reduced hours plus opening hours for seniors only. Two rendezvous have cancelled for April. At this point, 11 rendezvous scheduled for May through August have not yet cancelled. Restaurants in town are closed.”
Maple Bay Marina: “We are accepting transient boats for now. The Shipyard Restaurant & Pub is closed. Mariners Market & Espresso Bar and Marina office are open daily with limited hours (8am-3pm).” The fuel dock (which also monitors the VHF radio to assist transient boaters) has changed its hours 8am-4am. Washrooms, showers and the laundromat remain open from 7am-11pm. “Shuttle service into town is not available until the COVID-19 pandemic is over.” The Wooden Boat Festival had already been cancelled due to time constraints unrelated to the coronavirus crisis. “So far only one group booked for the first weekend in April has been affected. They cancelled their rendezvous which was the correct decision to make. This is an evolving situation and each booking will be assessed and regulations followed.”
Mill Bay Marina: “We are still accepting transient boaters. Most services remain the same with some precautions regarding customer interactions but our washrooms/laundry is still available for registered guests. As of right now, the grocery store in our community is still operating. The Brentwood Rowing Regatta has been canceled and we anticipate many if not all of our rendezvous from the US to be cancelled. We are using Facebook to keep our customers informed of any changes as well as our voicemail will be updated.”
Page Point Marina (Raven Point Marina): “No transients accepted at this time. All our facilities, including our restaurant and inn, are closed for now. We are keeping a close eye on activities being restricted in Ladysmith. Pages Marina and Pages Inn: Open for transient moorage. Fuel dock is open, as is a little grocery store at the marina that covers basics. The shipyard next door has closed for the time being, but can be reached in case of emergency. Floatplane service in and out of Silva Bay has ceased business for now.
Salt Spring Island
Harbour Authority of Salt Spring Island, including Fulford Harbour public docks, Ganges Centennial Marina, Breakwater Float, Kanaka Wharf, Burgoyne Bay public dock and Vesuvius Bay public dock: “All of our docks are closed to visitors/transients. Our heads and showers are closed. One dock (Breakwater Float in Ganges) is open to local emergency short-term stops (for medical reasons or provisioning, etc).
Salt Spring Marina: This marina is in the process of coming back into service after a complete rebuild of the docks.
“Salt Spring Marina is now open and accepting transient boats, as well as long-term boats. The contractor on the marina is still finishing a few punch list items. The Outer Dock will soon be open to large transient boats, after the bridge from our main spine is put in place to allow them shore access. We have had a few transient boats.
“The marina office is open 11am-3pm, but we are practicing social distancing. After-hours phone messages will be monitored for emergencies. Our showers, washrooms and laundry are available after obtaining codes and tokens from the staff during office hours. Water is available on the docks under staff supervision. 30 & 50 Amp Power is available. We recommend that boaters who wish to tie up at our marina book via the website, so that we have the information we need to assign an appropriate slip.
“Grocery stores and pharmacies are still open… Most hotels… are open but with in-room dining. The bus is running. Car rentals are available – just call 250-537-3122… Many people are enjoying long walks along trails and beaches, keeping their distance.
“We have not cancelled any events. However, some clubs have postponed their events and are planning on having them later in the year. We are still hoping to have our grand opening on the May long weekend, if restrictions are lifted by then.”
Sooke Harbour Marina: Currently accepting transient boats. “Our marina is self-serve, so no restrictions.”
Telegraph Harbour Marina: “Moorage and power is currently available for overnight transient boaters. The store, fuel dock, washrooms are currently closed due to the seasonality of our business. We are hoping that we will open May 1st as is tradition.
“We are located on an island so there are limited provisions. The local coffee roaster, Pot of Gold, just closed for four weeks for the safety of their employees and customers. There are no pump out services here, closest is in Ladysmith. Our store, washrooms, laundry and fuel dock do not open until May 1. These services are for overnight customers only. The May 1 date may also change if we are forced to close.
“No other summer cancellations have been made, but this COVID 19 changes day to day.”
Tsehum Harbour
Van Isle Marina: “For everyone’s health and safety, the marina administration is currently working remotely and is only available by telephone (250-656-1138) or email (info@vanislemarina.com) until further notice.
“Moorage is open Mon–Sat 8am–4:30pm. Please contact us to secure nightly, monthly or annual open slip or boathouse.
“Our marina services continue to operate, including the Yacht Park, open Mon-Sat 8am–4:30pm (please contact us to schedule haul-out or dryland storage), fuel dock, open daily 8am-4pm, with gas, diesel, oil and sewage pump-out.
Payments by cheque (use mail slot), Visa or Mastercard (call 250-656-1138 Mon-Sat 8am-4:30pm) and online banking (Van Isle Marina is registered with BMO, Royal Bank, Scotia Bank & Credit Unions of BC). Can also accept e-transfers; contact us for details.

“The restaurant at the top of our docks, Sea Glass Waterfront, has closed temporarily as have some retail stores in Sidney. Any restaurants that remain open should be take out or delivery only. Grocery stores and the Resthaven Store at the end of our street remain open.”
Westport Marina: “We are not taking transient moorage at this point, and The Marine Store on site is closed. Our office is open. The boatyard is working Monday to Friday only, but that could change without much notice.”
Victoria Harbour
Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, including the Causeway Marina, Ship Point docks, and Wharf Street Marina: “While these facilities remain open, please be aware that maintenance and servicing is reduced at this time. Please maintain social distancing as directed by the Provincial Health Officer.”
SAN JUAN ISLANDS
The San Juan County council decided at a March 23 meeting to work toward closing all lodging facilities and transient moorage in the San Juan Islands at least until the end of May.
Blaine Harbor Marina: The port is requesting moorage business be conducted by phone or email. If you have any questions, contact the Squalicum Harbor Office at 360-676-2542 or by email at squalicum@portofbellingham.com, or the Blaine Harbor Office at 360-647-6176 or by email at blaine@portofbellingham.com.
The port is not accepting cash payments at harbor offices until further notice. Customers can pay marina bills by credit card over the phone or with the port’s online payment tool at https://www.portofbellingham.com/348/Pay-Your-Bill.
The boat launches will remain open daily, closed dusk-dawn. Standard launch fees apply. The port will maintain operation of toilets, showers and laundry facilities at this time.
Cap Sante Marina: The main port office and harbormasters office is closed to the public. It is staffed at normal office hours, but all services will be provided either by phone or email.
• The fuel dock, boat launch and line handling services remain available under normal hours.
• All staff are required to deploy social distancing techniques
• Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment.
• The security team will still be available to assist boaters after hours at 360-661-5000.
Deer Harbor Marina: Open 10am-2pm daily, though that might be reduced next week to Monday, Wednesday to Friday. “All depends on the curve and how the island is doing. We just don’t want to do more harm than good.

Point Roberts Marina: Accepting transients on a case by case basis. Call ahead. Fuel dock open, as are restrooms, laundry etc. Pub/restaurant is closed .
Roche Harbor Resort: As of March 20, the fuel dock is open 9am-5pm for self service. Transient boaters welcomed. Marina office open 9am-5pm; accessed by a walk up window only, though phone (360-378-9816) or email (marina@rocheharbor.com) are preferred. No mobile pumpouts provided.
Grocery store is open 8am-8pm. Lime Kiln Cafe open 8am-8pm for takeout only; order by phone (360-378-9892), credit cards preferred.
The 2020 Easter Celebration, a Roche Harbor tradition since 1956, has been canceled, as have other events and rendezvous until at least May 15.

Lopez Islander Marina: Not taking transients. Fuel dock is open at normal hours, but boaters must call ahead.
Rosario Resort and Marina: All operations at the resort and spa have been suspended until further notice.
Semiahmoo Marina: The fuel dock is open 8am-4pm daily. The store is closed until future notice.
Skyline Marine Center: Marina office and fuel dock closed until further notice.
Snug Harbor Resort: Store and gas dock are closed until further notice.

Alderbrook Resort: Closed as of Mar 16, with a tentative plan to reopen Apr 16

Port of Allyn: Offices temporarily closed to the public. Office personnel are still working and are available to provide assistance to the public by telephone, email or online. Facilities, including both the Hood Canal and Allyn docks and boat launches will remain open. Boat launch fees are temporarily suspended until further notice to prevent the spread of the virus from people using the electronic pay stations.
The Waterfront Park restrooms were closed to the public on March 19, replaced by portable toilets for public use. There are portable toilets at the Hood Canal dock and boat launch.
Arabellas Landing: No transient moorage. Office closing as of March 25 until further notice.
Bell Harbor Marina: Marina office is closed to walk-in visitors. Staff is available to assist recreational boaters by phone (206-787-3952 daily 7am-5pm or by email at bhm@portseattle.org. Payments can be made by phone.
Operational staff are on-site and can assist with normal requests. Please be patient with staff members as we exercise critical measures of social distancing.
Blake Island Marina (Tillicum): Marina is closed. Mooring buoys around Blake Island can be used.
Boston Harbor Marina: As of Mar 21, marina docks, the beach and deck were closed. Moorage customers can access their boats, but can not congregate on the docks. The marina store and fuel dock are open daily 10am-6pm. Snack Shack menu items and store purchases are takeout only. Groups are asked to send only one person into the store at a time to protect customers and staff.
“Unfortunately, this puts an end to dock walks and visits to our beach for any reason… We feel a responsibility to our customers (especially our most vulnerable) and to our staff to do everything we can to protect them.”
Breakwater Marina: Accepting transient moorage. All facilities are open.
Port of Bremerton: All Port of Bremerton offices at Port Orchard Marina and Bremerton Marina are closed to the public. Office personnel are still working and available by phone or email to provide assistance.
Toilets and laundry facilities will remain open for marina tenants. The Port Orchard Marina fuel dock will continue operating. All facilities are being disinfected multiple times daily.
Port of Brownsville: Not taking transient moorage. Fuel dock open Tue-Fri 10am-2pm .
Elliott Bay Marina: Office hours will be reduced to 7:30am-7pm until Mar 28. After 7pm, staff will respond to emergencies only. Customers are asked to use phone and email as first line of communication with marina staff. Fuel dock will continue to operate Mon-Thu 8am-4pm and Fri-Sun 8am-6pm. Fuel dock will limit store and dock capacity to maximum of 10 customers.
Foss Harbor Marina: Open to transient and permanent boaters. “Although Gov. Inslee just instituted a shelter in place order for two weeks, our marina is exempt due to having a grocery store, fuel dock and large residential community.
“All marine services are still functioning, but any large gatherings or marina events have been canceled indefinitely.”
Foss Waterway Seaport: Closed to the public until further notice.
Hood Canal Marina: Closed until mid-April. Moorage customers will be allowed onto the property to check on and maintain their boats. Fuel sales will be on on-call emergency situations only. Staff will remain on the property, keeping an eye on everything.
La Conner Marina: The Port of Skagit is open for business, but the marina office is closed to all walk-in traffic. Staff members are available to serve customers by phone and email only during regular business hours.
Oak Harbor Marina: Fuel dock still operational during business hours. Marina office is closed to the public; phone or email to conduct business.
Percival Landing: “Percival Landing moorage is now closed. All power and water have been shut off. No transient boat moorage is allowed through at least April 10.
“The first significant event scheduled for Percival Landing is the annual Wooden Boat Fair in early May. Their website indicates the event is canceled “until further notice”. We are unclear if they are intending to reschedule for a later date in 2020.
Pleasant Harbor Marina: Marina office is temporarily closed to the public. Office personnel will still be working and are available to provide assistance by email or phone.
Fuel dock is open 8am-5pm daily. No transient moorage until further notice. Marina restrooms and laundry remain open for marina tenants. All facilities will continue to be disinfected multiple times daily. The Galley & Pub is currently closed.
Point Defiance Marina: Marina is closed through to March 31, as is Anthony’s Restaurant on site. Boat launch is open to the public.
Port Ludlow Marina: As of March 24, the marina is allowing only two people at a time in the marina store. The front door will be locked, but a simple knock from 10am-3pm Mon-Sat will summon assistance. The fuel dock is operating 10am-3pm Mon-Sat. “We kindly ask that you minimize visits to the marina office; our team is closely monitoring email and accepting phone calls. If possible, we ask that you use these methods as the first line of communication.” The marina can be contacted by phone and e-mail 24 hours a day.
Port of Port Townsend: All port offices are closed to public access, though business and operations continue during regular business hours. “Most of our offices are small and cramped and offer inadequate space to socially distance to the degree needed to slow the spread of the virus,” said port executive director Eron Berg.
He also asked the public “to keep away from port yard and maintenance crews in the field when they are working. For at least the next six to eight weeks, such distancing will be critically necessary.”
At the Boat Haven Marina, vessel haul-outs and yard tenancy agreements may be arranged by calling 360-385-6211 during business hours (Mon-Sat 8am-4:30pm). Agreements can also be executed and payments made at the walk-up window at the rear of the Boat Haven Moorage/Yard Office at 2790 Washington St in Port Townsend.
At Point Hudson Marina, guest registration/payments may be made by using the iron ranger located in the breezeway outside the office at 103 Hudson Street in Port Townsend. Reservations and payments may also be made via credit card by calling either 360-385-2828 or 800-228-2803 during business hours (Mon-Sat 8am-4:30pm).
Port of Poulsbo: Marina office closed to the public. Fuel dock open daily 9am-1pm. For the immediate future all fueling requests to be made online. For moorage, marina is currently not accepting cash. Payments can be made online at www.portofpoulsbo.com, or by check either through the mail or in the after-hours drop box. Toilets and showers closed to the public. Call 360-779-9905 ext 2, or email office@portofpoulsbo.com with questions or concerns.
Edmonds Marina: Port of Edmonds remains open, but marina offices are not receiving walk in visitors, restricting contacts with tenants and customers to phone and email. Payments can be made online or deposited in the drop box at the port administration office.
Public toilets at the port are closed until further notice. Visitors are asked to respect physical distancing protocols along the port boardwalk and property.
Everett Marina: Port administration and marina offices are closed to the public. Marina customers will continue to be served and port employees who can work from home will do so. Port security, the fuel dock and haulout services will not be affected by the office closures. Tenants will continue to have access to their boats, and the boat launch and waterfront public spaces will remain open. Construction projects at the port are anticipated to continue as planned.
Port of South Whidbey: The port is canceling events or meetings on the adjacent fairgrounds through April 30. On April 23, the situation will be reviewed.
Port of Olympia: All offices at Swantown Marina and Port Plaza are closed to the public until March 31. Harbor Patrol operations have also been suspended. The port will reevaluate its status at the end of March.
Swantown Marina & Boatworks is operational. The fuel dock is open. Marina office business will be conducted by telephone, email or on the website. Maintenance and harbor operations personnel will be onsite, but will practice social distancing. Swantown Boatworks will continue Travelift operations.
Winslow Wharf Marina: Marina office is temporarily closed to direct entry by visitors.
Stay safe, Jim and Lynne
The status of Salish Sea marinas, docks and marine parks in BC and Washington is in a state of flux as the worsening COVID-19 crisis changes conditions daily, sometimes hourly.
The crew at Salish Sea Pilot has spent many hours attempting to contact marinas from the Broughtons to Puget Sound to identify which are accepting transient visitors and, if they are, what services are available once those boaters tie up. We also hoped to keep track of which summer events had been cancelled.
The information below is incomplete. We will update as new information comes in. Please call ahead to any marina you hope to visit to get the latest information.
And there are other factors boaters should be aware of. For instance, regardless of the willingness of marinas to accept transients, island communities in the Gulf Islands, Howe Sound, off the Sunshine Coast and in the Discovery Islands, have asked non-resident boaters to stay away. They cite the vulnerable age of many island residents and the shortages of food in island shops. BC Ferries have cut back sailings to the islands, reportedly making it more difficult for local stores to restock.
So while these appeals to stay home might have questionable legal authority, it’s worth noting non-residents are unlikely to receive a warm welcome.
Marine parks
Services have been suspended in all marine parks in British Columbia, though as of March 24, boaters could still access mooring buoys and tie up at park docks as long as they respected social distancing when ashore.
Washington State Parks has closed parks for overnight or day use. The few marinas/docks which provide overnight moorage, such as at Blake Island and Jerrell Cove, have been closed.
There are no plans now to limit use of park mooring buoys, said Anna Gill, communications director of Washington State Parks. The message here is “tie up to a buoy, but don’t go ashore.”

Our cruising guides focus on marinas which offer moorage and other services to transient boaters, so that’s who we chose to focus on in this article.
BROUGHTONS
Alert Bay Boat Harbour: The marina has not responded to requests for information, but the mayor of Alert Bay has asked non-residents to not visit the island.
Port Hardy
Quarterdeck Resort & Marina: The Quarterdeck Marina has closed until further notice.
Fisherman’s Wharf: Closed and will remain so at least until the end of March.
Port McNeill
North Island Marina: “North Island marina in Port McNeill is open and will be for the foreseeable future. We are taking precautions with cleaning to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. We take reservations on our website as well as over the phone.”
Port McNeill Harbour Authority: According to a March 18 news release from Pete Nelson-Smith, the town’s chief administrative officer, “the harbour staff will continue to provide services as needed at the Port McNeill Municipal and Federal Marinas. However, to ensure social distancing is followed, in-person business at the harbour will be limited to those who have arranged in-person meetings ahead of time. Please contact harbour staff at 250-956-3881 to arrange a meeting time.”
Sayward Harbour Authority: “As of now we have no plans to close or limit services at our harbour.”
Telegraph Cove: Neither Telegraph Cove Marina or Telegraph Cove Resort have yet opened to the public, but all other facilities in Telegraph Cove are closed to the public. This includes bathrooms, boardwalks, campground, trails, etc.
DESOLATION SOUND
April Point Marina: The April Point Resort and Spa has been closed until further notice. In their announcement online, no mention was made of their marina, but the community of Quadra Island has requested that visiting boats stay away.
Blind Channel Resort: “We are open, and have not restricted services at this time. Traffic is still low here, as it is a seasonal business, and we are cleaning after every customer interaction. So far we haven’t cancelled any events for this summer, but we are monitoring the situation daily and may be required to at some point. If the ban on restaurant seating is still in effect this summer we will be offering take out service, and will also deliver food and necessities to anchorages in the area with our water taxis.”
Coast Marina: “We will be open and accepting transient moorage year-round through this very difficult crisis. Most government facilities locally are running at a very minimum. Most grocery stores are open. We have no cancelled events for this coming summer as of yet.”
Discovery Harbour Marina: Marina office will remain closed until further notice. Staff is available to assist customers by phone or email during business hours for payments or moorage inquiries. Nearby, the supermarket and pharmacy remain open, while most other shops have closed.
The Ocean Pacific Marine Store and Boatyard next door to the marina has restricted hours. Customers can place orders by phone or email for pick up at the dock. Boatyard customers can receive deliveries to the boatyard. There are plans to expand the deliveries to homes and nearby marinas.
Fisherman’s Landing and Lodge: “Fishermans landing is not accepting boaters at this time … and all services are closed until further notice.”
Heriot Bay Inn and Marina: As of March 22, fuel dock was open Wed-Sat 2-4pm. The restaurant was open 4-6pm for pickup orders. Off sales available only meal food orders. Payment options include by phone, e-transfer or on site. Guests can also order through the lobby gate and return for pickup.
Stuart Island Community Dock (Big Bay): “So far we are open to transient boaters. There are discussions at some of the resorts and lodges about partial closures but nothing confirmed yet for our area. Also our main event which is the Salmon Enhancement Auction for August 3 is a go as of today but all of that can obviously change.”
SUNSHINE COAST
Backeddy Marina: Pub is taking food orders for pickup from noon to 7pm.
Bathgate Marina: This marina does not normally have transient moorage, but does operate a general store, fuel dock, coin laundry and showers. “We are still open for fuel sales, as is our grocery store. The store itself is closed to the public, but we are picking and packing and taking the orders to the door for our customers.” Payment options include credit cards, e-transfers and debit purchases under $100. No cash accepted.
“We have closed our public laundry facilities and restrooms, along with our hotel and RV site.”
Egmont Public Wharf: “Egmont Harbour has transient space available. There is an honour box at the top of the ramp for moorage payment. We trust that boaters will observe the government recommendations for distancing and social behaviour.”
Comox Valley Marina: “We would still accept a transient boater if they have not been out of province or country for the past 14 days. We have closed our bathrooms, showers and laundry. “(We are) not aware of restrictions from the Town of Comox at this time except their bathrooms, etc, are also likely closed. We don’t have any large events to cancel, but the town and other organizers have canceled several events.”
Fairwinds Marina: From their website, “Fairwinds Marina will remain accessible for monthly, semi-annual and annual customers only. No transient boaters will be accepted until further notice.” The marina office is closed to the public, but staff are on-site to assist long-term customers by phone or email.
False Creek Harbour Authority: (Fisherman’s Wharf is) open as usual, though “we are working with a reduced staff to limit exposure… We can assist with power hookup and vessel tying but are not issuing parking passes and ask for questions and payments to be directed on-line or by phone rather than in-person if possible.”
Any vessel arriving from the US will be asked to quarantine on their vessel for 14 days upon arrival. “We may restrict these vessels at some point but has not been an issue as of yet.”
Many grocery stores and ships services are still functioning normally, though some with reduced hours of operation. “(We are) not aware of any closures that would affect boaters at this time. All of our summer events have been cancelled. We are still expecting the Celebration of Lights to happen, which is our busiest time of the year, but cannot say for certain that it will take place as many major events have been tabled for the year.”
John Henry’s Marina and Resort: “John Henry’s is the only fuel dock in Pender Harbour. Our intention is to remain open, unless we are required to close… We are also accepting transient vessels and at this point there are no service restrictions. Our washrooms are being carefully cleaned daily and our general store, for provisions, is currently open from 10am to 6pm, seven days a week. We are limiting store visits to two guests at a time. Key touch points in the store are cleaned hourly to protect both staff and clients. If someone arrives who is self-isolating they must tell us so that appropriate distancing actions can be taken, while still providing service.” Marina operators have not heard of other shutdowns in the area that would particularly affect transient boaters. Also, no group events have yet been cancelled.
Lighthouse Marina: “We have decided to remain closed. We would like to keep our staff & community safe. As this is new for all of us, we want to take everything with precaution. We will be revisiting take out and delivery in the near future… We are looking forward to serving everyone once we feel it is safe.”
Pacific Playgrounds Resort & Marina: “Pacific Playgrounds will remain open to self-contained RVs, cottages and RV rentals. As of March 23, 2020 we have temporarily closed our public bathrooms, shower facilities and the children’s playground. In the interest of social distancing, our office is now closed to traffic, however, our staff continue to work inside and are happy to assist you over the phone or through the sliding window in the office area.”
Guests can prepay by credit card over the phone. Registration information can be emailed to guests in advance. Payments for using the boat launch can be made by cash only, deposited through the office door mail slot. Current office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-4pm and Saturday 9am-1pm.
Saltery Bay public wharf: No changes have been made, though no services are normally offered at the dock or nearby. The closest services are in Powell River, 20-30 minutes away by car.
Texada Boat Club: The marina has closed their transient dock and boat launch until further notice. The club is open to members who have been asked to be diligent with social distancing and sanitation.
GULF ISLANDS
Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa: Given the rapidly evolving and unprecedented circumstances around COVID-19, and taking into consideration our staff, guests and community, we have made the difficult decision to close the Brentwood Bay Resort Pub and public spaces in the resort until further notice.
Chemainus Municipal Marina: Open for transient boaters at this time. “Not much space is available, as the winter customers are still here. The town of Chemainus, groceries and pharmacies are open.”
Ladysmith Maritime Society (Ladysmith Community Marina): “As of Friday, March 20, the Ladysmith Community Marina closed the office. We are accepting transient moorers who pay online only. At present – and this may change very shortly – transient boaters still have access to the marina washrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Pumpout is closed. The closest grocery store has reduced hours plus opening hours for seniors only. Two rendezvous have cancelled for April. At this point, 11 rendezvous scheduled for May through August have not yet cancelled. Restaurants in town are closed.”
Maple Bay Marina: “We are accepting transient boats for now. The Shipyard Restaurant & Pub is closed. Mariners Market & Espresso Bar and Marina office are open daily with limited hours (8am-3pm).” The fuel dock (which also monitors the VHF radio to assist transient boaters) has changed its hours 8am-4am. Washrooms, showers and the laundromat remain open from 7am-11pm. “Shuttle service into town is not available until the COVID-19 pandemic is over.” The Wooden Boat Festival had already been cancelled due to time constraints unrelated to the coronavirus crisis. “So far only one group booked for the first weekend in April has been affected. They cancelled their rendezvous which was the correct decision to make. This is an evolving situation and each booking will be assessed and regulations followed.”
Mill Bay Marina: “We are still accepting transient boaters. Most services remain the same with some precautions regarding customer interactions but our washrooms/laundry is still available for registered guests. As of right now, the grocery store in our community is still operating. The Brentwood Rowing Regatta has been canceled and we anticipate many if not all of our rendezvous from the US to be cancelled. We are using Facebook to keep our customers informed of any changes as well as our voicemail will be updated.”
Page Point Marina (Raven Point Marina): “No transients accepted at this time. All our facilities, including our restaurant and inn, are closed for now. We are keeping a close eye on activities being restricted in Ladysmith. Pages Marina and Pages Inn: Open for transient moorage. Fuel dock is open, as is a little grocery store at the marina that covers basics. The shipyard next door has closed for the time being, but can be reached in case of emergency. Floatplane service in and out of Silva Bay has ceased business for now.
Salt Spring Island
Harbour Authority of Salt Spring Island, including Fulford Harbour public docks, Ganges Centennial Marina, Breakwater Float, Kanaka Wharf, Burgoyne Bay public dock and Vesuvius Bay public dock: “All of our docks are closed to visitors/transients. Our heads and showers are closed. One dock (Breakwater Float in Ganges) is open to local emergency short-term stops (for medical reasons or provisioning, etc).
Salt Spring Marina: This marina is in the process of coming back into service after a complete rebuild of the docks.
“Salt Spring Marina is now open and accepting transient boats, as well as long-term boats. The contractor on the marina is still finishing a few punch list items. The Outer Dock will soon be open to large transient boats, after the bridge from our main spine is put in place to allow them shore access. We have had a few transient boats.
“The marina office is open 11am-3pm, but we are practicing social distancing. After-hours phone messages will be monitored for emergencies. Our showers, washrooms and laundry are available after obtaining codes and tokens from the staff during office hours. Water is available on the docks under staff supervision. 30 & 50 Amp Power is available. We recommend that boaters who wish to tie up at our marina book via the website, so that we have the information we need to assign an appropriate slip.
“Grocery stores and pharmacies are still open… Most hotels… are open but with in-room dining. The bus is running. Car rentals are available – just call 250-537-3122… Many people are enjoying long walks along trails and beaches, keeping their distance.
“We have not cancelled any events. However, some clubs have postponed their events and are planning on having them later in the year. We are still hoping to have our grand opening on the May long weekend, if restrictions are lifted by then.”
Sooke Harbour Marina: Currently accepting transient boats. “Our marina is self-serve, so no restrictions.”
Telegraph Harbour Marina: “Moorage and power is currently available for overnight transient boaters. The store, fuel dock, washrooms are currently closed due to the seasonality of our business. We are hoping that we will open May 1st as is tradition.
“We are located on an island so there are limited provisions. The local coffee roaster, Pot of Gold, just closed for four weeks for the safety of their employees and customers. There are no pump out services here, closest is in Ladysmith. Our store, washrooms, laundry and fuel dock do not open until May 1. These services are for overnight customers only. The May 1 date may also change if we are forced to close.
“No other summer cancellations have been made, but this COVID 19 changes day to day.”
Tsehum Harbour
Van Isle Marina: “For everyone’s health and safety, the marina administration is currently working remotely and is only available by telephone (250-656-1138) or email (info@vanislemarina.com) until further notice.
“Moorage is open Mon–Sat 8am–4:30pm. Please contact us to secure nightly, monthly or annual open slip or boathouse.
“Our marina services continue to operate, including the Yacht Park, open Mon-Sat 8am–4:30pm (please contact us to schedule haul-out or dryland storage), fuel dock, open daily 8am-4pm, with gas, diesel, oil and sewage pump-out.

Westport Marina: “We are not taking transient moorage at this point, and The Marine Store on site is closed. Our office is open. The boatyard is working Monday to Friday only, but that could change without much notice.”
Victoria Harbour
Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, including the Causeway Marina, Ship Point docks, and Wharf Street Marina: “While these facilities remain open, please be aware that maintenance and servicing is reduced at this time. Please maintain social distancing as directed by the Provincial Health Officer.”
SAN JUAN ISLANDS
The San Juan County council decided at a March 23 meeting to work toward closing all lodging facilities and transient moorage in the San Juan Islands at least until the end of May.

Cap Sante Marina: The main port office and harbormasters office is closed to the public. It is staffed at normal office hours, but all services will be provided either by phone or email.
• The fuel dock, boat launch and line handling services remain available under normal hours.
• All staff are required to deploy social distancing techniques

• The security team will still be available to assist boaters after hours at 360-661-5000.
Deer Harbor Marina: Open 10am-2pm daily, though that might be reduced next week to Monday, Wednesday to Friday. “All depends on the curve and how the island is doing. We just don’t want to do more harm than good.
Fairhaven Community Boating Center: The port is requesting moorage business be conducted by phone or email. If you have any questions, please contact the Squalicum Harbor Office at 360-676-2542 or by email at squalicum@portofbellingham.com, or the Blaine Harbor Office at 360-647-6176 or by email at blaine@portofbellingham.com. The port is not accepting cash payments at harbor offices until further notice.
Port of Friday Harbor: Fuel dock remains open. Toilets, showers and pumpouts remain operational. Marina is taking transients; electronic payment requested. Effective March 23, counter services will not be available and staff who can will work from home. Staff working on-site are practicing social distancing.
Islands Marine Center: No transient moorage and no services offered.
Point Roberts Marina: Accepting transients on a case by case basis. Call ahead. Fuel dock open, as are restrooms, laundry etc. Pub/restaurant is closed .
Roche Harbor Resort: As of March 20, the fuel dock is open 9am-5pm for self service. Transient boaters welcomed. Marina office open 9am-5pm; accessed by a walk up window only, though phone (360-378-9816) or email (marina@rocheharbor.com) are preferred. No mobile pumpouts provided.
Grocery store is open 8am-8pm. Lime Kiln Cafe open 8am-8pm for takeout only; order by phone (360-378-9892), credit cards preferred.
The 2020 Easter Celebration, a Roche Harbor tradition since 1956, has been canceled, as have other events and rendezvous until at least May 15.
“As you consider your upcoming travel plans, we will offer any necessary or desired flexibility regarding your stay and will waive cancellation and deposit fees through September 29, 2020.”
Lopez Islander Marina: Not taking transients. Fuel dock is open at normal hours, but boaters must call ahead.
Rosario Resort and Marina: All operations at the resort and spa have been suspended until further notice.
Semiahmoo Marina: The fuel dock is open 8am-4pm daily. The store is closed until future notice.
Skyline Marine Center: Marina office and fuel dock closed until further notice.
Snug Harbor Resort: Store and gas dock are closed until further notice.

Port of Allyn: Offices temporarily closed to the public. Office personnel are still working and are available to provide assistance to the public by telephone, email or online. Facilities, including both the Hood Canal and Allyn docks and boat launches will remain open. Boat launch fees are temporarily suspended until further notice to prevent the spread of the virus from people using the electronic pay stations.
The Waterfront Park restrooms were closed to the public on March 19, replaced by portable toilets for public use. There are portable toilets at the Hood Canal dock and boat launch.
Arabellas Landing: No transient moorage. Office closing as of March 25 until further notice.
Bell Harbor Marina: Marina office is closed to walk-in visitors. Staff is available to assist recreational boaters by phone (206-787-3952 daily 7am-5pm or by email at bhm@portseattle.org. Payments can be made by phone.
Operational staff are on-site and can assist with normal requests. Please be patient with staff members as we exercise critical measures of social distancing.
Blake Island Marina (Tillicum): Marina is closed. Mooring buoys around Blake Island can be used.
Boston Harbor Marina: As of Mar 21, marina docks, the beach and deck were closed. Moorage customers can access their boats, but can not congregate on the docks. The marina store and fuel dock are open daily 10am-6pm. Snack Shack menu items and store purchases are takeout only. Groups are asked to send only one person into the store at a time to protect customers and staff.
“Unfortunately, this puts an end to dock walks and visits to our beach for any reason… We feel a responsibility to our customers (especially our most vulnerable) and to our staff to do everything we can to protect them.”
Breakwater Marina: Accepting transient moorage. All facilities are open.
Port of Bremerton: All Port of Bremerton offices at Port Orchard Marina and Bremerton Marina are closed to the public. Office personnel are still working and available by phone or email to provide assistance.
Toilets and laundry facilities will remain open for marina tenants. The Port Orchard Marina fuel dock will continue operating. All facilities are being disinfected multiple times daily.
Port of Brownsville: Not taking transient moorage. Fuel dock open Tue-Fri 10am-2pm .
Elliott Bay Marina: Office hours will be reduced to 7:30am-7pm until Mar 28. After 7pm, staff will respond to emergencies only. Customers are asked to use phone and email as first line of communication with marina staff. Fuel dock will continue to operate Mon-Thu 8am-4pm and Fri-Sun 8am-6pm. Fuel dock will limit store and dock capacity to maximum of 10 customers.
Foss Harbor Marina: Open to transient and permanent boaters. “Although Gov. Inslee just instituted a shelter in place order for two weeks, our marina is exempt due to having a grocery store, fuel dock and large residential community.
“All marine services are still functioning, but any large gatherings or marina events have been canceled indefinitely.”
Foss Waterway Seaport: Closed to the public until further notice.
Hood Canal Marina: Closed until mid-April. Moorage customers will be allowed onto the property to check on and maintain their boats. Fuel sales will be on on-call emergency situations only. Staff will remain on the property, keeping an eye on everything.
La Conner Marina: The Port of Skagit is open for business, but the marina office is closed to all walk-in traffic. Staff members are available to serve customers by phone and email only during regular business hours.
Oak Harbor Marina: Fuel dock still operational during business hours. Marina office is closed to the public; phone or email to conduct business.
Percival Landing: “Percival Landing moorage is now closed. All power and water have been shut off. No transient boat moorage is allowed through at least April 10.
“The first significant event scheduled for Percival Landing is the annual Wooden Boat Fair in early May. Their website indicates the event is canceled “until further notice”. We are unclear if they are intending to reschedule for a later date in 2020.
Pleasant Harbor Marina: Marina office is temporarily closed to the public. Office personnel will still be working and are available to provide assistance by email or phone.
Fuel dock is open 8am-5pm daily. No transient moorage until further notice. Marina restrooms and laundry remain open for marina tenants. All facilities will continue to be disinfected multiple times daily. The Galley & Pub is currently closed.
Point Defiance Marina: Marina is closed through to March 31, as is Anthony’s Restaurant on site. Boat launch is open to the public.
Port Ludlow Marina: As of March 24, the marina is allowing only two people at a time in the marina store. The front door will be locked, but a simple knock from 10am-3pm Mon-Sat will summon assistance. The fuel dock is operating 10am-3pm Mon-Sat. “We kindly ask that you minimize visits to the marina office; our team is closely monitoring email and accepting phone calls. If possible, we ask that you use these methods as the first line of communication.” The marina can be contacted by phone and e-mail 24 hours a day.
Port of Port Townsend: All port offices are closed to public access, though business and operations continue during regular business hours. “Most of our offices are small and cramped and offer inadequate space to socially distance to the degree needed to slow the spread of the virus,” said port executive director Eron Berg.
He also asked the public “to keep away from port yard and maintenance crews in the field when they are working. For at least the next six to eight weeks, such distancing will be critically necessary.”
At the Boat Haven Marina, vessel haul-outs and yard tenancy agreements may be arranged by calling 360-385-6211 during business hours (Mon-Sat 8am-4:30pm). Agreements can also be executed and payments made at the walk-up window at the rear of the Boat Haven Moorage/Yard Office at 2790 Washington St in Port Townsend.
At Point Hudson Marina, guest registration/payments may be made by using the iron ranger located in the breezeway outside the office at 103 Hudson Street in Port Townsend. Reservations and payments may also be made via credit card by calling either 360-385-2828 or 800-228-2803 during business hours (Mon-Sat 8am-4:30pm).
Port of Poulsbo: Marina office closed to the public. Fuel dock open daily 9am-1pm. For the immediate future all fueling requests to be made online. For moorage, marina is currently not accepting cash. Payments can be made online at www.portofpoulsbo.com, or by check either through the mail or in the after-hours drop box. Toilets and showers closed to the public. Call 360-779-9905 ext 2, or email office@portofpoulsbo.com with questions or concerns.
Edmonds Marina: Port of Edmonds remains open, but marina offices are not receiving walk in visitors, restricting contacts with tenants and customers to phone and email. Payments can be made online or deposited in the drop box at the port administration office.
Public toilets at the port are closed until further notice. Visitors are asked to respect physical distancing protocols along the port boardwalk and property.
Everett Marina: Port administration and marina offices are closed to the public. Marina customers will continue to be served and port employees who can work from home will do so. Port security, the fuel dock and haulout services will not be affected by the office closures. Tenants will continue to have access to their boats, and the boat launch and waterfront public spaces will remain open. Construction projects at the port are anticipated to continue as planned.
Port of South Whidbey: The port is canceling events or meetings on the adjacent fairgrounds through April 30. On April 23, the situation will be reviewed.
Port of Olympia: All offices at Swantown Marina and Port Plaza are closed to the public until March 31. Harbor Patrol operations have also been suspended. The port will reevaluate its status at the end of March.
Swantown Marina & Boatworks is operational. The fuel dock is open. Marina office business will be conducted by telephone, email or on the website. Maintenance and harbor operations personnel will be onsite, but will practice social distancing. Swantown Boatworks will continue Travelift operations.
Winslow Wharf Marina: Marina office is temporarily closed to direct entry by visitors.

A little more crowded on D-Dock last weekend. Probably 5 of us spending the night on Saturday, and a few more showed on Sunday.
Resorted to long distance communication between slips, or walking down the main pier and not going into individual finger piers.
I'm sure the shouting between slips got annoying on C-Dock. Will have to resort to phone or maybe channel 72-VHF next weekend.
Was surprised the public restrooms were open, but I bet they aren't now.

Garrison Bay is a national park, not state park. No signs up yet and nothing on the web site says they are closed. ( I guess the restrooms here are closed though)
