We ran outside from St. Augustine to the St John's at Mayport this past Sunday. A large car carrier was coming out and I managed to grab this shot.

I guess he doesn’t know that playing in a bow wave is dangerous...

When we had a boat in So California they would come like low flying cruise missiles to the boat when you got near. Then they would swim in the bow wave and roll on their sides and look up at you if we went onto the bow. Beautiful.

We have them here in the ICW in NC. If I see them around I take the boat up to 13kts. At this speed the boat is pulling its biggest stern wave, yet the frothing water is away from the transom (clean wake). The critters must know the sound and hurry over to surf the wake. They play right up close to the boat, like six to ten feet away. Gives a good show to the girls in the cockpit. I can't really watch as I am driving the boat. They play for a minute or two, then go back to what they were doing.

Fun!!
