The adds are geared toward your interests
There are cookies that track your travels throughout the INTERNET
Goggle etc and the pop up adds here ,find that if they advertise your personal interests that it pays

Toyota car ad and learn outboard repair school on mine. No ad blocker for me.

Google overall does a fairly decent job of placing somewhat relevant ads on my page at least loosely related to the subject of the thread.
