A friend with a 49 Eastbay had a fly made for their cockpit and it was a welcome respite from summer sun. But he had some fancy carbon fiber poles that were kinda tedious to use. That and their sockets were only good for the pole.
I went with Burnewiin sockets (which are a bit pricey) to have a solid connection to the deck without having to use lines to tie the poles down or align them. They make several different socket adapters (flagpole, rodholders, etc) that might be useful in the sockets when the fly isn't in use. Time will tell if I get any of the add-ons or not.
