My boat only achieves 3100 Rpm (3400 is the spec)wot with clean bottom. Will be checking to see if the tacs are correct and that the throttles are hitting the stops. Does anyone know what the factory props were for this setup? Is this how the boat performed from Mainship?

I have owned a couple of later Mainships: a single engine 34T and a single engine Pilot 34. The factory props were spot on, letting the Yanmar 370 rev to 3,400 rpm with a clean bottom. So my experience and that of others is that Mainship props its boats reasonably.

In one recent case the PO had put on a higher pitch prop with the mistaken objective of saving fuel at low rpms. So check for that. You seem to have covered the other issues, throttle not opening completely and the tach being off, but in my experience the tach was pretty close. Also check for the prop or bottom being dirty. What rpms do you get at wot in neutral. Should hit about 3,500 rpm.
