I have an '06 MS34T and as the title states it has an awful groaning noise at anchor. I have tracked the cause to the glass partition in the shower. I can stop the noise by grabbing it with my hand to keep it from moving. Has anyone else had to deal with this problem? Do you think re-caulking the glass will secure it enough or is there a better fix?

I am going to be starting the loop in September and need to resolve this issue.

Thanks,
Steve

I have recaulked the shower in my '08 34HT and it may help your noise. In my case there were some large gaps / leaks I was trying to fix. I will guess that you have clear acrylic rubbing on the fiberglass enclosure in one or more places that will have to be eliminated to stop the noise.
As a first step I would try to locate the exact source of the noise and try a temp wedge between the 2 pieces to eliminate or change the noise. One the sour e is located you may need to insert a spacer between to parts to stop the noise and once quieted recaulk to make water tight.
Spacer might need to be rubber to allow some movement w/o the hard parts rubbing.
I would be concerned that if just recalling you haven't changed the cause of the noise.
Just my thoughts & hope it helps. Let us know how you proceed and the results.

Thanks again Don. I tried to duplicate the noise but it apparently only happens when I am rocking at anchor. We are heading out to Santa Cruz island next week so hopefully I will be able to track it down.
