I'm almost done on the 120 V AC rewire in a 40 ft Tollycraft. Well, not almost, but getting closer all the time. Romex, corrosion, old funky breakers and breaker box, lost of scorched insulation and low quality PO work. A simple patch up wasn't good enough, it required a total gut and replace.
Ancor boat cable to replace the romex
Blue Sea Systems panel with meter
Galvinic isolator
ELCI
GFCI on each circuit
Outlet boxes and covers
Shore power inlet
Shore power cord
I'm not a good record keeper but I can find records for $2070 in parts alone. No labor costs because I'm doing all the work.
Still to do
Feed from generator to main panel
Generator / shore / off switching
Generator metering
Don't forget to add in tools if you don't have them. Best to get the best, it will make your life easier.
Meter
Crimper
Cutter
Stripper
Heat gun
I don't know what I spent on those but they weren't cheap.
I did abuse my employer's discount. If you have to pay full retail it will be more.
I'm guessing I'm into the project for more than $3000. Probably considerably more.
Oh yeah, wood and finishes for all the stuff I had to tear up.
I haven't even started the 12 V DC yet, that's a total mess too.
