I would not compare the lifetime of windows and adhesive products on a boat that was sailed full time in the tropics, in full sun, to the posters situation. He is in the PNW. His boat will get way less UV, thermal expansion, and flexing, even if it is stored in full sun. Solutions that would last 10 years in the tropics, would likely last 20+ in the PNW.
