I am considering purchasing the G3 Vision Charts for South East Alaska. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/9281
The satellite and aerial photography images are the only features of interest to me over and above the standard G3 coastal charts. However I am unable to determine exactly how much detail and coverage is available in this area to understand if it would be worthwhile.
I've contacted Garmin customer service but couldn't get any screenshots and their description was:
FYI, there is a $100 rebate until the end of the year.

"the detail is not as good as what you would see on google maps or google earth. It gets pixelated once you zoom down really close to the specific area. The photos are shot from about 24,000ft. "
If someone has these G3 Vision charts for the area could you comment on this detail. its usefulness, and perhaps share a screenshot or two?
