    Unknown plumbing fittings.

Our Selene is 2001 (first 53 built). OD on our tube is .63” measured with calipers. This matches spec for 1/2” line size. I’ve not seen anything smaller than 1/2 offered by any vendors but maybe in your case maybe a call to a few vendors might yield results.

    Unknown plumbing fittings.

I ordered from company called Fittings Space although I ordered 1/2” fitting as that’s what the lines appeared to be. If they are metric then not sure where to go Update: I measured existing lines with digital calipers and the OD of the existing lines are .63” or 16 mm which is consistent with...

    Unknown plumbing fittings.

Thanks for the responses. Yes this is for the domestic water system After more research I found that this is Pex AL Pex. Pex with an aluminum core liner. Once I figured that out I was able to find fittings.

    Unknown plumbing fittings.

Does anyone recognize this type of plumbing and where to get fittings for it? The tubing is some for of plastic inside and out with a metal liner between the layers. Thanks

Coastal explorer vs Garmin heading issues

Transducer goes to network. I set the keel offset on the “lead” mfd. I assumed that would apply across all devices but intend to check that today.

Coastal explorer vs Garmin heading issues

Course over ground appears to be ok. I agree (and so does CE) that this is likely related to declination and is some sort of communication error from the Garmin system but so far unsolved

Coastal explorer vs Garmin heading issues

Both systems use the Garmin heading sensor (fluxgate type) I’ve allowed for set and drift from wind or current. In all situations there is exactly 15 degrees higher heading number showing on CE. CE got into my system remotely to look at logs and live diagnose. This is where CE determined the...

Coastal explorer vs Garmin heading issues

I have all Garmin 7612 mfd’s and recently added a pc based coastal explorer system hoping to use CE as the primary nav system. The CE system gets all its information from the Garmin system thru a nemo gateway. Currently I’m seeing a consistent 15 degree higher heading on CE than the Garmin mfd...

    More charging capacity from generator

We have a relatively power hungry boat with 1360 AH agm house bank. A magnum 2812 inverter (125 amp charge rate) and pronautic 60 amp standalone charger and see up to 175 amps of charge when gen is running. In an effort to reduce gen run time we added 1000 watts of solar We now run the gen set...

    Tankless hot water heater

We have an Everhot on demand system coupled to a Webasto hydronic heat system. The system works well provided the webasto furnace or main engine is running. Whole system was from Sure Marine. Haven’t been able to run it out of hot water yet. During warmer weather, the cabin heat loops can be...

    Main engine disconnect switch issue/warning

Wanted to share something that happened to us a few days ago. While returning up the Columbia River from a 10 day trip we experienced an abrupt main engine shut down while at cruise speed and were unable to restart. I heard an alarm prior to the shutdown and before I could see which one it...

    Canadian Derilicts

Actually St Helens has limited dock stay to only 72 hours in a 14 day period. this occurred about a year ago after many complaints from residents like me. Trouble is they DO NOT enforce it and there are regularly "squatter boats" at city docks for weeks to months at a time. until they actually...

    Seacock Not Fully Closing

Try draining the aftercooler and heat exchanger 1st. Seacocks may not be leaking. looks like a Cummins 6C or B series engine from the pic. Mine does the same and it stops after those are drained so you may be bleeding back thru the impeller a bit

BN Rail Road Bridge in Portland OR

I've always been able to get them on 13 pretty quickly. There is a phone # listed for it also if you do a quick web search. With the current river level, there should be 30-35' of clearance or better right now, but I haven't been under it in a while.
