Also the federal gov't bending backwards to promote / approve 1 hour covid test at airports obviously to boost travel!
Yet the fedel government at same time is telling us not to travel to protect us from covid transmission.
Either we are going to get serious about slowing covid or health costs will outstrip airline economic cotributions.
In my sunset years I am not willing to be sacrificed for misguided economics.
Government spending on covid and wage subsitties is called deficit spending, but enabling privite business while government picks up the tab for the carnage, is labeled supporting economic activity.

Well, if I were flying, it would feel good to know all aboard is negative rather than take your chances. They stopped reporting on planes landed in VAN where a positive case was later found. That was at least a week after landing, useless info I guess.

"Well, if I were flying, it would feel good to know all aboard is negative rather than take your chances."

Sounds good except for the high false failure rate of many of the quick tests.

At least if you are under 70 you might get sick but have only a .01 chance of dying from it .

They say the airplane is one of the more safer environments to be in as long as all are wearing masks. It is the airport and TSA lines that are more of a problem. Apparently the good ole car is still the safest.

No they haven't.

It's always been here:

If any reason "they" stopped reporting on it, is because transmission is nearly zero.

I am on three flights per week. I feel there is considerably less risk in an airport or airplane than in Canadian Tire or Walmart. I avoid those places.

How about the news I watch BCTV, I have not heard them report it, does that matter? Maybe I missed it, but they report everything ten times in an hour.

Incorrect. You may want to do some research.
Omg you do some research and show me.
Sky linked one article which had our national health spokesperson say no evidence passengers can get it from each other.
Yet many others health people are skeptical.
I will err on side of caution.
As to a seats available. Yes they are or soon will be I time for Christmas flights.
Have a safe flight.

This article references the Harvard study and an Irish account of transmission during a transatlantic flight. Generally it is believed that air travel is no less safe than most common everyday excisions to the grocery or other public places. I personally avoid everything I can. If I really needed to fly I would do it, but I don't, so I won't. The shorter your exposure the better so make it a short flight.

I especially chuckled she reading that flight crew come down with cold or flu after flights. Of course before covid.

Other articles speak of heap filters not designed for fine size of virus. Maybe only 40% effective. They are similar but not same as hospital grade pre covid. Have they upgraded?
Most planes circulate 50% of air, 50% fresh except under 50 seat ones.
