The time has come to sell our 1988 Defever 41...

With much sadness we have decided it is time to look at the reality of selling our much loved 1988 Defever 41. We have bought a piece of Real Estate here in SOPO and as much as I have tried keep the boat and the RE... "ya just can't keep everything" Lord knows I've tried

We are going to try and enjoy one last beautiful summer on the boat, keeping at our home base, South Port Marine, Maine. This will be our 3rd summer here at South Port and we have had the premier spot on the very end of D dock with a unobstructed million dollar view of the Portland skyline across the water (I can hold on to this coveted spot for a new owner).

The boat,
1988 Defever 41, twin Cummins 5.96BTA's (1,100 original hours) 8KW onan with 150 original hours. The boat was freshwater kept for most of its life. It has quite a bit of outside wood including teak decks (no soft spots anywhere) that could use refinishing. Electronics are a bit dated but the boat is fully fitted including Avon dingy and rarely used Merc 9hp.

I could go on and on about other details but I'm guessing someone who is genuinely interested will contact me thru the forum.

asking $78,500.

Rob

Does she convey with the boat? Just kidding. Nice boat; hope it sells quickly.

That's a beautiful vessel sir. Sorry you're having to part with it.
All the best with the sale and the new real estate.

***Sale pending***

On a piece of real estate that is , we have owned it for years and someone wants it more than we do. It's been in the works for awhile and looks like it might go thru.

What all this means ? We are keeping the boat if all goes well (at closing). I'm sorry for you folks that contacted me for more info, I was reluctant to give out any more information and give false hope for a sale if we were able to keep er.

Regards,
Rob
