WTB Viking Hard Case

WTB hard case for Viking offshore 6 man raft. I have a 6 man Viking raft in a valise and want to convert it to hard case at the next service interval. The cost of a new case alone, from Viking, approaches 40% of the cost of a new raft in a hard case! If anyone has a hard case left over from an unusable raft I would be very interested in purchasing it. Thank you!

Have you tried contacting any of the shops that repack rafts? The company in Portland (I don’t remember the name) that repacked one of ours had empty shells in the back of the shop. They were a big outfit that did more commercial rafts than recreational.

You’ll probably have to have yours recertified to be in compliance if you find one. Our hard raft was packed so the case split when it was deployed.

Life raft hard case

I have a case in decent shape from a switlik SAR 6. I think it is a similar size

I would still use it but a poppet from the raft died and Switlik made them obsolete, so I bought a Viking for third of the price so that when it goes obsolete I wont feel so bad...

Thank you very much for your thoughtful replies. I will check the internet for service providers in Portland. Also, I will ask them about switching to Switlik shell. I appreciate your suggestions and offer. This raft is two years old now, so it will be due for recertification in 2021. I have only checked with the Viking factory shop in Seattle so far. Have a nice Thanksgiving!
