"Davco truck filter assemblies."

Great items ,super to live with, but some insurance surveys will gig them for nor having a marine fire rating.

Our work around was a pull cable to shut off fuel at the tank.

Now that's what I call "mood lighting".

I am aware that some surveyors will cite a Davco because of the clear plastic (very thick) bowl. It's ironic because Racors have clear plastic bowls also. Yes, there is that hokey heat shield at the bottom but one wonders, in case of a fire hot enough to melt through the Davco bowl, why that same fire would not also melt the Racor bowl just as readily. And, with any fire intense enough to melt either will already have doomed the boat, just another example of ABYC nonsense, in my opinion. The Racors I removed and replaced with the Davco product did not have the bottom metal bowl and it passed survey. When it comes time to sell the boat, I will deal with it, if it comes up.

Any chance you might have a photo or 2 of those LEDs?
