Friend needs a good fuel system mechanic.

Any suggestions?

Scott- what are the symptoms? Sometimes these things can be picked through on the net.

Thanks Ski, I think his attempts to fix it himself came to a dead end.

I don't have a lot of particulars. A friends son bought a trawler last year and it has developed several fuel system leaks. One is around a seal on his injection pump which he said he took apart to replace.

He was a Coastie stationed at Hatteras, so he might have had some boat engineer help, but not sure.

He was not having success in getting parts or stopping the leaks, plus was unsure about removing the injection pump for lack of timing understanding. He moved the boat to Roanoke Island hoping for better mechanical support/ mostly someone to do the work

I offered to post and see if anyone knew a name.

Suggestion

Might have to get someone out of Hampton Roads, I use Bay Diesel, some of their techs live in eastern NC. Don't know if they do Lehman, seem to do everything, great people and stand by their work. May incur some travel costs.
